Man remember the 90s and early 2000s when the wallabies were the absolute prestige Australian football team. What a shambles that has turned into!!

The game domestically has been ruined and we have butchered all the comps including Super Rugby. Added sides like the Western a force and Melbourne Rebels which to this point have been abject failures and added nothing to Australian Rugby as of yet but hope that changes. Participation numbers are still not bad but talent ID and development is a mess. We need a strong NSW comp and itâs really donkey level currently. Iâm not sure we can ever get back to the glory years as too many other options for kids with better pathways

I hope the ARU has some sort of exit clause in his contract. They need to start spending these millions of dollars on grass roots rugby. Youâll never become a powerhouse again by poaching league players. They need to find a talented young coach and start planning for the next two world cups. They need to put all energy into development. Jones is a charlatan.

I watched this documentary last week, it is excellent at articulating the issues and proposing some solutions (but I donât think anyone is listening).

Meanwhile the motley crew Wallabies of 2023 at this RWC in Pool C stumble on. Somehow they conjure a 34-14 win vs Portugal that easily couldâve gone â â â â up, if only several Portugese efforts had gone differently.
Portugal to beat Fiji next week so we fwiw slither into a QF vs a building England? Well, weâre just about backable as warm 500-1 favourites to win it overall

Best we miss out this RWC and sort out our game at home.
England wouldâve loved to be playing us Iâd have thought. But unfortunately they have the wrecking ball called Fiji up next.

The ARU clearly believe Jones is staying. There is a lot of smoke around him heading to Japan. If he leaves after the damage heâs done it would be pretty gross.
