Oh well .. a 30-22 loss in Cape Town..
Poor pitch, greasy conditions. O’Connor left 8 points out there and frustratingly kicked for touch in the first half when more points were on offer. Not good decisions those. Meanwhile Pollard nailed all of his and it proved the difference in the end.

Considering we lost Nic White and Suaalii to HIA and Tom Wright (who did his ACL :slightly_frowning_face:) all v early, we did OK. Oh, and our Cory Toole is rapid with a capital R.

Back home for Argentina in a fortnight. Wallabies are doing great but suppose another physical battering awaits

Hopefully not behind a paywall ..
But I miss this guy in a Wallabies shirt.

He’d be one of the missing pieces for a best Wallabies XV in next RWC.

Umm… that was one of the best anthem performances ever.

Even the players were applauding.

Yikes.

Eek…but bodes well for us

Jebus.

National day of mourning in NZ

How the mighty are fallen.

They’ll still belt the Wallabies up in coming weeks as some sort of ‘vengeance’ for that result.

Pretty predictable.

Mid-week Hakas all over the socials in honour of Charlie Kirk?

The Lord has made his opinion clear.

Springboks made the Rugby invincibles look like hapless schoolboys.

It was like when the Americans lost the America’s cup.

Terrible result but a lot of hyperbole. Springboks have been the best Southern Hemisphere team for a while. They’re reigning world champs.

Bledisloe genuinely on the line this year. Wallabies playing quality rugby

It would be good for the game if we won it.

Just keep telling yourself that if it ever happens :joy:

How many decades has it been since the ABs lost at Eden Park?

We haven’t won there in nearly 40 years.

Reckon it’s near on 30 years since the AB’s last lost there

We’ll win there this year. In Joe Schmidt we’ve got the best coach in the world. You’ve seen how he brought Ireland from nowhere up to the top of the world rankings. He can do the same for Australia. We’ve had him for 18 months now, and he’ll be leaving in mid-2026. That’s another nine months before Les Kiss (of death) takes over. Make hay while the sun shines.

Well .. the ABs are super dangerous when they’re ever beaten. And for many years, that’s not very often let’s be honest. They’ll be champing at the bit come Eden Park next weekend, a place renowned as not being a happy hunting ground for Wallabies.

I’m a glass half full Wallaby supporter but tbh we were lucky to get as close as we did in the end vs Pumas last Saturday. Too many penalties conceded, over zealous lookings to break lines when a more managed approach might have been the go. The refereeing was awful but to both sides overall. That last try for us to bring us close with minutes on the clock was a howler of a forward pass let go by the refs. Suaalii though is starting to really show his talent at outside centre which is heartening.

But we’re struggling a bit at 10 where inexperience shows. O’Connor for all his talent and experience, off the bench still makes mistakes he shouldn’t be doing e.g. not finding touch after a hard won turnover, the odd loose pass which costs us, and gettable conversions left out there. Pity Lolesio is injured for this series as although Tom Lynagh gets better each match he plays, just keeps copping concussions unfortunately and has been unavailable

We’ve got that Italian ref from the Lions 3rd Test who I reckon cost us that game (and series) on Saturday week. Him, plus a wounded AB side looking for a kill at their Eden home? Wel, we’ve been good since Schmidt took over for sure, but I’m not sure about this Bledisloe .. not sure at all.

I know international rugby probably couldn’t give two ■■■■■…

But scheduling one of the Wallabies biggest games in recent times against the All Blacks at 3pm today? Smack bang in the middle of the AFL Grand Final?

Fully expect the All Blacks to win but not great code exposure with that scheduling.
