US sending 1 new HIMARS launcher vehicle with the latest ammunition shipment. That could mean that one was lost in combat, but I can’t see that necessitating a replacement. I’m more thinking it has been upgraded in a way that the rest of the fleet has not. Potentially for a different type of rocket ammunition.

If they have secured a bridgehead, time for some sappers to step in with bridging. I realise the Dnipro is pretty wide, but there were some impressive Bailey Bridges built (often under fire) across wide rivers in WW2 - here are some from the Po in Italy and the Rhine.
(Really just an excuse for some gratuitous bridge pr0n. Some impressive structures were made with Bailey Bridge sections.)

The trouble is, static bridges like that are easy targets for drones and missiles. I don’t see them lasting very long in this environment.

Yep, those bridges were built under total air dominance with enemy artillery quickly pushed back out of range. Ukraine faces very different tactical circumstances.

Russian losses per 21/11/23 reported by the Ukrainian general staff.
+610 men
+6 APVs
+4 artillery systems
+7 UAVs
+1 cruise missile
Overnight, out of 10 Shahed drones, 9 were shot down. Additionally a single launched Iskander-K was shot down. Also several S-300 missiles were launched at Ukraine of which the impact is still being determined.
