I’ll post the article
1. Who are the Bombers?
It’s not a trick question. They are inoffensive, unproductive and devoid of an obvious game style. The midfield mucks around with the ball and the forward group lacks talent. On Sunday the Bombers had 43 inside 50s compared to St Kilda’s 37 and had nine more disposals than the Saints. And they still lost by 35 points. Essendon would lose in years gone by and hang their hats on the fact they moved the ball quickly and they could threaten the opposition. And they would occasionally produce a blitzkrieg performance. Nowadays, they are boring losers. They are a rabble. Down by six goals at half time they had the opportunity to reset, to do something to get back into the game. Instead of firing a shot they retreated. They’re not playing finals. Dare we say it, but stay patient Bombers fans.
FYI he’s also ruled Pies out of finals too.
Thanks mate
I have been patient for 20 years, how much longer do you want me to remain patient Slobbo?
Hard to disagree with any of that
this standing around with their fingers in the eyes of each other peenis’s is turning in to a bad habit
Lol…get that ■■■■ out of here.
I’m curious to see how we go when we get our fwd line back because a few of our losses we dominated the stats but still lose comfortably
I think he’s being sarcastic
I just hope to God that when our better players return we start to resemble some sort of a team. Its lame but that’s all I got
so many spot up leads are burnt, the amount of times a player could have turned and hit a team mate 5 metres on his man but instead turned away and slowed the game down was staggeringly bad
Apart from those special McKenna moments, the one that summed up this match was when we switched to the back left pocket and Hurley had the ball. Up the ground we had 2 Essendon players and 5 St.Kilda players as an option. So what does Hurley do? Kicks it to a 1 on 3 contest which we lose and St.Kilda has the ball about 60m from goal with lots of options. As Hodge noted our Forward line simply had to present to that side of the ground to give options or at least even the contest. No played even tried to go across to help out.
The players seemed confused and dazed. You don’t have to be an elite talent to run to those spots, you just have to care.
This was the classic Essington we’ve come to know and hate. Big game. Crucial for the season. One for which the whole club should be up and about and ready to rip into it.
We didn’t turn up. No pressure. No attack. No risk.
We had a shopping list of our best players out. No doubt about that. Even if we had played at our best we might well have lost.
What really ■■■■■■ me off is that we played at our worst, not our best. There is no leadership, no commitment, on or off the field.
We are not on the right track. Joe and Stringer and Hooker back won’t change that. If there’s no leadership, there’s no progress. We’ll know it when we see it, but we’re not seeing it now.
we’ll lose players over this
good players
Appalling performance. Although we had probably almost half of our best possible 22 not playing. Regardless of that it shows we have very little depth. Hard decisions and mucho plenty drafting for the next few years. We are not as bad as we looked today, but we are still simply not good enough.
Our list is mediocre to start with. This is what happens when we get injuries.
Dan Riccardo has a better chance of beating Lewis Hamilton in tonight’s GP, than we have of getting within 10 goals of the tigers!!!
Worsfold has created a weak culture.
I don’t want to hear from people that Zac Jones is pretty useless because he’ll be pretty fcking handy in our team right now.
He’s not the most skillfull player but he’s tough and has pace
Dodoro should have got him instead of Cutler
Daniher injury has changed the trajectory of this list. We need to accept where we are, adjust and rebuild.
