So I heard Gary Lyon say 4 contested marks for the game

That is a very damning stat, absolute disgrace really.

Then around 50 forward entires for 8.7.

Like this is just pathetic, absolute laughing stock of the league.

Our players are always out of position and chasing their opponents, so far behind looking slow and then when we do have the ball just blaze away anywhere and turn it over.

Insipid poor display. This has to be the worst list of the last 23 years right?

I just find it hard to point to the coach as a singular point of blame for what we’ve witnessed for several years and across several regimes now. I’m not going to argue that point too strongly however.

Until proven otherwise, this entire football club, from top to bottom, does not want success.

They’ve identified what it takes to be successful, and actively and purposefully made the decision that they do not want to do it.

so even though we were technically top 4 up to half way everyone here and the entire AFL community were far from convinced we were THAT good. but I think most would say we had improved a lot and were definatley playing finals and were looking likely to at least win that elusive final .
look what’s happened since . the playing list has not changed
but we have just gone over the cliff yet again . mental and physical preparation is up to individual players and the coaches are supposed to assess the list and preppare and pick the right players and provide additional motivation if that’s needed .
by all accounts and from all perspectives, all concerned have failed dismally.
it is simply not acceptable and heads should roll immediately . there should be some sort of crisis meeting and big calls need to be made from board level to coaches to players .
someone needs to front up to the fans to come clean and explain what has gone wrong, if anything is happening on the inside , and what will be done about it .

I’m at risk of getting Stallion’d but my pre-game gif was reasonably prophetic:

Also, when someone tried to publicly pin it on the players he was forced to walk it back. I’m not X fan, but if you weren’t concerned about the culture in the playing group then you weren’t paying attention.

Does it matter which pick we get?

I really wish it was 2016 again.

If Scott has lost the players he should go NOW

Fair enough…and i know it’s not all on Scott either, just very frustrated with the game plan, selection philosophy and perceived lack of ownership from Scott.

Why they would choose this hot garbage over success is beyond me…

The blokes doing the hiring were also changed but the list and the bloke putting it together are still mostly the same.

I still reckon we missed our chance by not securing Mark Williams at the end of 2007 when Sheedy left. He was very interested, as he has openly stated since, and reckon our whole path would be looking very different now … whether he was still coaching us or not.

Sliding doors moment.

Everyone is being very reactionary in here and quite frankly very resultist.

Dropping about 8 of them would be a farking good start.

Oh wait, Brad Scott is our coach.

From what I can tell tonight, the Sharman/Caminiti combo will dominate back lines for years to come.

Success is too hard. It might hurt

No, just ours.
