I think the thing I am most angry about yesterday is that we played Darcy Parish (and I say that as a Parish fan).
Obviously underdone. Needed one or both of another week / a half in the VFL to blow out the cobwebs.
Just smacks of a coach with no idea other than backing in the same olds. And this is after he admitted making the same mistake with Stringer and Draper last year.
And you’d almost understand if we didn’t have any other options. But you’ve got a like for like replacement in Hobbs who obliterated his last VFL outing. But no, we look to Parish.
If I was Hobbs, I’d have been on my phone to my manager the second that selection decision was made.
Disgrace.

the elite pressure for a quarter is always driven by Draper’s one good quarter and the same blokes (Durham, Caldwell, Merrett, Dursma), but they aren’t fit enough to do it on their own for a whole game.

Personally I don’t agree that it’s fitness, I think it’s entirely application. Players pick and choose when they want to go, the same way they’ve done for like a decade around here

i honestly believe its due to the mental capacity of our players, they got back in the game and assumed they would go on with it, then proceeded to wait for others to do the hard work, meanwhile someone forgot to tell stkilda they should lay down

I (member for 30 years) and my two daughters are not going. I am simply beaten down by their insipidness and complete lack of effort. Why would I drive 3 hours return and waste a Sunday to watch a shitshow - again!

There’s a club is farked thread with 4 parts and god knows how many posts. One Arizona camp isn’t going to fix it. Doesn’t mean it still didn’t have benefits.
