I have to confess I have some concerns over this appointment.
Were any other candidates interviewed or even considered? Have we done our due diligence? Was there a process, or was this just a panic signing over rumours that Hoffy was being courted by Big Footy?
It sounds like she’s been appointed just because she’s a forum champion and thrown in without any experience.
Does she even have a game plan? Is it going to be more of this attack from defence rubbish, or will she get on the front foot and actually be present at the contest?
Is DJR being forced into a lesser role because he’s lost the posters, his communication skills have long been under question, or is he merely a scapegoat?
Is anyone actually in charge here?

Its time to reflect on The DJR’s time as Thread reNamer Extraordinaire. Having come into the job when the forum was a complete mess, he has done a great job, but his body is telling him it is time to retire.
The DJR has made a great many friends along the way, but he was a tough guy on this forum and some of those names he banished may not be seen again until 2118, 2119 or 2120, by which time we might have won another final.

I’ve always said that DJR was not responsible for the site crashing on game day.
It’s simply not his role.
