Season 2015 - Collingwood

The guy in the gym who sold them the drugs told them they were “fully WADA compliant bro”. They have been duped. Should be let off, there are bigger fish to fry

Can’t wait hear how Eddie plays this one down. Tune into Hot Breakfast tomorrow. It will also be interesting to see how much air-time he gives it.

People will use the defence “it’s bullshit, it’s an energy drink/headache tablet/asthma pump” etc etc, however surely WADA/ASADA have levels where it isn’t just one energy drink that takes them over the edge?

If the B sample is positive then ■■■■ em, 2 years!

Welcome Collingwood.

Sweet sweet schadenfreude.

■■■■ Collingwood

Must of been eating the same steaks as Alberto Contedor

it could be as simple as that.

I remember watching I think it was either 4 corners or australian story about an aussie athlete that was banned from sports in the 80’s cos his caffeine levels were to high in his blood tests, this was back when caffeine was banned as a stimulant, until wada went meh it’s to widely available, how can we stop it.

Anyway the guy from his story or side of it anyway, had had a double shot coffee 2 days prior to his test and that was still in his system which put him over the “acceptable” limit.

Powerade: now with added clenbuterol!

That’s not what I said at all

Lol too much clenbuterol in energy drinks?
One would hope an Essendon supporter of all people would be more educated on the topic than to utter such crap
Going rate for clen is a 24 month ban

Apparently since the new WADA code came in on 1 Jan 2015 the going rate is now 48 months

Ouch . . .

The 4 years is for a deliberate doping offence. Two years is non-deliberate…

ASADA generally go after the highest penalty possible.
Once there is a positive, the players have to show how and why this stuff got into their system accidentally. Not the other way around.

Yeah, I can see ASADA assuming it wasn’t deliberate…

Picked this up from The Herald Suns assessment of the Pies to date & heading in to round 4.

GILBERT GARDINER’S FORECAST: For all the pre-season naysayers Collingwood (2-1) aunt doing too badly considering injuries continue to plague the club.

AUNT doing to badly.
