I saw one game last year - Fletch's 400th in the dreamtime. Richmond looked a million bucks that night. Cohesive and a good spread of talent. I'm not a Richmond fan, but on that night they looked pretty damned impressive to me. Must admit I was surprised. Having said that, I could still see them finishing 9th just because of their inconsistency. But I don't think they will.
similar to us of recent years ( how similar both them and us is truely scary) Richmond can look a million bucks and 3rd grad hacks all within the space of 2 mins.
there inlies their problem. they ebb and flow up and down to much, you rarely get a consistent effort across the board with them, like us.
The good teams sure have ups and downs, but their base line is still pretty high for their down times.
In richmonds down ebb’'s similar to ours, players miss handball targets a meter away, miss targets by foot dramatically, like missing a free target by 30 meters and hitting an opposition player on the chest bad.
nothing to me suggests they have addressed this issue, infact they went out and recruited yarran who fits into their mould, not breaks it (that’s even before the last few posts about him not being fit enough anymore).
I can’t see them being top 4, as they like us just can’t produce top quality football enough across a whole season. can do it enough to get to 5th, but not 4th IMO.
