Am I alone in not drinking the koolaid?
Their Richmond game this Sunday will be… interesting.
I think 10 goal reality check
Not at all.
Brisbane have only played once at the G this year. Against us, and we did them by 47 points.
Hard to tell, that was an eternity ago and look how they went on with their season after that.
The problem is the AFL engineered the softest draw possible and they have barely played anyone.
They’d won their first three games before playing us. We were 1-2.
Sure, it was early season for both sides and they definitely kicked on a lot better than us. It’s going to be a big test for them on Sunday. They should relish the contest.
My money is still on either the Tigers or Eagles to win the flag.
Did the Bears have any significant injuries when we destroyed them?
(TIPPA could have kicked zero goals that day and we’d still have won!)
Those two, with Lions and the Bullies (the dark horse) to make the final 4.
They will know what they need to do, in terms of protecting the margin by their game, as the Eagles play the day before and so do the Cats (though a GMHBA upset unlikely against the Blues).
The margin the Tigers need to pass them is too much at 10-11 goals.
More likely would be WC break the Hawk spirits and win by 50ish, then the Eagles hope the Tiges win comfortably by 5 goals +
Don’t think so. Maybe 1 or 2 best 22 at most missing.
We were probably close to full strength and had the real Heppell and Fanta
Their 4 wins 3 losses against the current top 8 with Richmond to come. It’s better than our record, 2-6 with pies to come
I’ve still got a small asterisk on them, but it’s getting smaller. Get over the Tigers and I’ll believe.
They’ve still only had 1 good win against a top 6/8 side, and that was waaay back in round 1 vs WCE, who were 3-4 weeks behind them in prep.
Other than that, flogged by Pies, flogged by us, decent enough wins over GWS and Dogs, and just held on over Cats.
Still have Tigers to come, if they get undone there, I reckon that’ll put a big dint in them.
They’ve been very, very good in putting away the poor sides.
A freak injury run has also helped a lot, barely had to dip into their reserves.
Yep their reserves are sitting top of the NEAFL ladder, undefeated from 17 games with a percentage of 232.
So, this team who Blitz has denigrated all year, now needs to win to avoid us going to Perth.
Not everyone denigrated them, just the usual blow hards.
Can’t stand them but will be hoping they win today
Can’t see them winning a final.
Richmond and Bulldogs coming up, probably the 2 in-form teams in the comp.
