Season 2022 - Brisbane

It’ll be interesting to gauge Lions supporters’ reactions to this. I know there’s a significant proportion (at least on social media) that were pretty fed up with Fagan before all this, so I imagine they’ll be calling for his head.

Now thats a perfect opportunity for Brad Scott or leppitsch

Hird to be last man standing for our coaching gig now.

The Brisbane Lions are aware Senior Coach Chris Fagan will work with the AFL on an investigation into allegations concerning historical events at the Hawthorn Football Club, where he was a former employee.

Chris supports and welcomes the investigation.

He was not consulted during the Hawthorn sponsored review and looks forward to the opportunity to be heard as part of the AFL investigation.

The Brisbane Lions and Chris have mutually agreed that he will take a leave of absence from the Club so he can fully cooperate in the investigation.

As the matters are now with the AFL Integrity Unit, the Brisbane Lions won’t make any further comment at this stage.

Fagan has been stood down/ taken a leave of absence

Fagan taking leave until resolved.

Reckon he doesnt come back. Damage is done.

Only way he can come back is if the allegations regarding him can be proven to be wrong. As long as there is some truth to his involvement, his AFL career is finished.

Having just read the ABC article … Clarkson was up to his nuts in the whole deplorable situation (allegedly). If proven to be true, no chance he can survive this

Hmm precedent set.

Very difficult for North not to do the same now.

can they even stand him down as he isnt able to work for them until November 1st?

They can say he won’t be doing any work with the club until such time as the investigation is completed, etc, etc.

Ffs, again. So , that’s gonna be the term of choice.

The only decision that could be made and the correct one.

pretty ■■■■■■ hey! Acting like its decades and decades ago.

Just imagine that Brisbane won on the weekend and were preparing for the Grand Final this week :flushed:

Danny Daly coaching on Grand Final day lol

Perhaps that’s why the article could be released, now that Brisbane is not involved anymore.

Grand final week is the week the AFL wanted to see this the least… which means its maximum impact.

Just got told he’s gawn.

In a more permanent sense.

Make of it what you will.

He has taken leave, not stood down

Same difference. If he hadn’t they would have made him anyway.
