Season 2023 - Port Adelaide

Wherever we got for Fantasia was daylight robbery

If you persistently tear soft tissue then why the fark would you be expected to play or train at high intensity if you feel you have a strain?
Surely that’s a warning sign to back off.

Fantasia played with serious hip pain for us and has never recovered to his pre-injury levels.

Raz has always been a handle with care player.

Lol, NO

his tendons are made of angel hair pasta !

Why? He misses more games than he plays. He left us at our lowest ebb(well, one of them). He can suffer the consequences

Whereas l wouldn’t have him back for free. He is never going to wind back the clock. The game has broken him, he will retire soon, and he needs to for his long term physical health.

As a salary dump? Sure. Raz and a first or jam it.

It’s a bummer injury has interrupted Raz’s career. He was tracking to be an absolute A grade small-medium forward.

A team might see him as a Lincoln McCarthy type low-cost, high-reward (if they back their S&C/medical program to get him right) project if PA don’t offer him a new contract this year.

I know someone who used to work in essendon S&C at the time Fantasia was around and spoke about this and how soft Fantasia was. He once missed 2 weeks because he had a common cold

To be fair, most men don’t get common colds… we get near-fatal flus… 2 weeks is a valiant effort!

Id take Raz back as a salary dump, but only if we also get Saad, Daniher & McKenna back too.

Big run home for Port - from the HS. Ranked the hardest draw from now

1. PORT ADELAIDE

R10: Melbourne (Adelaide Oval)

R11: Richmond (MCG)

R12: Hawthorn (Adelaide Oval)

R13: Western Bulldogs (Marvel Stadium)

R14: Geelong (Adelaide Oval)

R15: BYE

R16: Essendon (MCG)

R17: Gold Coast (Adelaide Oval)

R18: Carlton (Marvel Stadium)

R19: Collingwood (Adelaide Oval)

R20: Adelaide (Adelaide Oval)

R21: Geelong (GMHBA Stadium)

R22: GWS (Adelaide Oval)

R23: Fremantle (Optus Stadium)

R24: Richmond (Adelaide Oval)

Over the next month, Port has the eleventh most difficult stretch.

Overall though, it is a tough run home. There are just two games remaining against the bottom four – the fewest in the competition. The Power also play four games against teams ranked 5th–8th and two games against the current top four, including another clash with ladder leader Collingwood.

You need to be a pretty decent side this year to knock off Melbourne… in the wet… at Adelaide Oval.

Gee their young midfielders are shaping up as an elite group. Butters, Rozee, and JHF will be a formidable group and are all 23 yrs old or under.

They nailed the 2018 draft.

  • Rozee for pick 5
  • Sent a flaky Wingard plus a third to the Hawks and got Ryan Burton plus a first which got them Duursma
  • Sent a soft a sooky Polec plus Pittard to Norf for a first which they drafted Butters with.
Absolutely hit that draft out the park

Agree. Those 3 are shaping up as stars and have already gone past Wines and SPP in terms of importance and impact on games.
