Richard and Matt played for Strathmore for years after their AFL (Matt at Hawthorn) and VFL (at Essendon 2nds) careers ended.

I was there that day…I still remember the public announcement at half time calling for the bus drivers to return to their buses to take the Collingwood supporters back to the train stations.
It was a glorious day

I was living in Weipa and drove fourteen and a half hours on a washed out dirt ‘road’ to Cairns to watch it live on tv. It was worth the drive. Flew down to watch the next game in person.

If we were leading 22 goals to 4 in 2024 rather than 1984, the discussion in the game day thread would be whether or not we are chance to hold onto our lead

It was - felt a bit for ‘Rotten’ that day though.
Ronnie Andrews kicked most of their goals.
