They have Brennan Cox coming back who is a far better intercept marker than Pearce.
Between Cox, Pearce and Ryan, they definitely make that Freo defence look very different.

He would have been the current place holder in the All Australian team too.
I really feel for him. This would be a really tough pill to swallow given all the injuries he’s had to overcome.

That is a major blow to the Dockers. Pearce is central to their defence and one of the best in his position in the league. Given that it is the same arm he broke they will need to be extra cautious bringing him back. Did they bring him back too soon?

So it sounds like when Josh Treacy went down in a heap on the weekend in what looked like a fairly innocuous collision, he may have done some significant damage to his knee. They are investigating how bad it is still.
Well that’s what they just said on the radio anyhow.
Dockers don’t seem too concerned now publicly.

Rinse and repeat every year. Bloke is an expensive sack of sh¡t.
Just say he plays 15 games a year, 3 of those are ones he’s been injured during the course of the match and 6 of those are matches where he’s taken time to get into stride again after an injury.
So you end up getting about 6 games out of him where he’s actually firing on all cylinders.
