There is an easy way to differentiate them.
Heeney is an outstanding, absolute freak, footballer and Mills is not.

Heeney looks like a model. Mills… not so much…
Ok just googled mills. Looks like Temu Heeney
I wonder why? He trained hard, didn’t pull up sore at all, no issues have shown up and the coach looked pleased about the session. I wonder what changed?
Mills has hardly played this year and was seriously underwhelming in the GWS Final.
Would be an abominable decision to play him in a GF.
Probably Longmire being burned by playing an underdone player in the last GF has made him extra cautious.
Longmire admitted as much on the news.
I wonder if mills would walk. seems to be the catalyst for players leaving when they miss the granny we don’t have that problem, well not since kickett
He’d completely understand why he hasn’t been picked 18 days post hammy. It obviously is still emotional to not be there when your team has qualified for a GF but he’d get it. Plus, he’d still feel like he half owes them for acting like a pickle on Mad Monday last year and missing most of the season because of it.
Communication îs the important thing. Which forms what we on the outside call ‘culture’.
Not the result.
It’s a main reason why I laugh when I read posts like ‘this guy will want out because he’s not getting games’. There is a lot more to it that we are not privy to.
It will be interesting to see if Mills is named as an emergency. If so, then it was a close call, if not, then the injury wasn’t worth the risk.
His spot in the team has been taken up by Matt Roberts whose form and year has been more than solid.
I’d say if he was replacing Fox in the 22 (Fox was a sub last week) or Corey Warner, Longmire would take the chance because the risk-reward would be different.
