Season 2024 - Western Bulldogs

No I hadn’t heard anything. I reckon twitter went early. Saw two tweets from legit accounts saying a mutual parting of ways.

Neither tweet now accessible

I was skeptical but the trade requests and Bont scuttlebut was lending weight.

That could be a good option for him. Sorta get the feeling his time may be up at the Kennel. Some coaches get the most out of their players, but have a use by date as a result of the methods they use ( Eade, Barassi, Parkin, Hafey). To be fair, its all the more impressive that men like Sheedy/Jeans/Longmire were able to stay at it so long

I reckon Bev is one of the luckier coaches out there. Hes got a great list and 2016 was an absolute miracle. Since then, with the list he has, hes absolutely underachieved. I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt return to footy once his time at the Dogs is done.

The talent dogs have in some spots is unreal. Particularly their father sons. Wonder what another coach could do with it. Give bevvo 5 more year for mine

Footscray has been in a few Finals since 2016, IIRC, once as runner up. It hasn’t always limped in as the easy beat from 8th.

Since 2016, they’ve only won finals in 2021 (when they made the GF).

The seven other seasons, they’ve either missed finals or been knocked out first week.

His record in finals when they dont go all the way is absolute ■■■■

Would that mean there are a number of current players with Finals experience and the hurt from being in the losing GF side as a driver to achieve more?

Bevo with too much power

Winning the flag in 2016 has brought him time other wise Beveridge would have been sacked already.

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan’s immediate future at the Western Bulldogs under a cloud | 7NEWS

Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is in growing doubt for Round 1 as he continues to miss key AFL pre-season sessions.

The 22-year-old has been seen intermittently at Whitten Oval since the Bulldogs returned to pre-season training in November.

He was absent again from the main session on Monday, while he also missed Friday’s heavy hitout despite completing his own boxing session away from the club.

The Bulldogs are expected to provide an update on Ugle-Hagan’s complex personal situation and his immediate playing future in coming days.

After a limited preparation, it leaves him unlikely to be in the selection mix for the Indigenous All Stars exhibition match to be played against Fremantle on February 15.

Ugle-Hagan took personal leave early last season to return home to south-west Victoria and sat out two matches.

He finished the year with a career-best 43 goals and won the Bulldogs’ goalkicking for the first time.

The Framlingham product signed a two-year extension until 2026 in May after knocking back strong offers from rivals including Hawthorn.

Clearly that time he accidentally signed a contract extension when Warrnambool intel indicated he wanted to get to Essendon is weighing heavily on his mind…

Supposedly pretty loose off field.

Seems like your typical substance abuse, let’s say it’s mental health related to avoid a strike on the illicit drugs policy situation.

Are these not, for all intents and purposes, the same thing?
