Like Mark Harvey, Libba has more guts than is good for him. He has been one of the hardest at the ball players in recent seasons and he is now paying for his bang and crash approach. He only needs to look at and talk with his former teammate Picken to see what is likely on the cards for him. A better player than his old man ever was, he should walk away from the game right now, because going on will see his brain scrambled worse than an egg.
Libba has been a great servant.
that falling over against us was serious. imagine he has had plenty of knocks.
won a flag decent career, time to follow Brayshaws lead and let one of the kids have a run like Sanders
That incident against us was disturbing. That tackle that Stringer got him with must’ve really given his body a massive shake-up. Was perfectly legal but it shows how brutal the sport is and the effect cumulative impact can have on a player. What really staggers me is the initial commentary from the Dogs that it was an ankle issue. The fact he was allowed to play out the game was ludicrous.
Tigers will beat them
Very good chance. Tigers have Prestia, Graham and Balta returning this week.
Not just ludicrous, but potentially litigious as well. AFL should have whacked them for that.
She went the other way!
The league would be in a far better position if the Bulldogs, Saints and North merged to form the new Tassie team.
We’re ■■■■■■
Bulldogs season going down the gurgler and the coach in strife?
Good. This pleases me. They deserve it.
Glad we don’t play them again this year.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Doggies.
My only dislike is Peter Gordon for his behaviour in the Saga, including his pressure on Crameri and Prismall to plead guilty, imposing his son on them as legal representation and expecting others to pay for him. He also played leader of the pack in his role in the AFL, with a dreadful impact on Bomba, Hird and Danny Corcoran.
Bevo on the other hand was decent towards Essendon in the Saga . One of the very few.
Now Gordon has teamed up with David Evans and Eddie in investing in a corporate box at the MCG
I hope he no longer has any influence at the club.
Fark Eddie.
Fark Peter Gordon.
And especially, fark David Evans.
Give me my day and they’d be among the first against the wall.
The real concern here should be that they get a decent coach and become a good side they definitely have the talent on the list to do it
I heard a whisper that David Evans loves the saxophone.
Like we needed another reason to loathe the man…
He used to prefer the trombone … until Hird got the sack but.
well, that’s horrible news
Devastating for the young lad, but I feel a sense of relief reading this as I’m glad he didn’t risk his long-term health.
