Honestly the way the commentators were talking them up last night was crazy. Are still miles off it. If they lose Jackson, even further.

Don’t hate me, but I didn’t mind the Fox commentators last night 
The commentary was really biased like the umpiring, but i too still don’t rate Freo, just a good average side in that 7 to 12 region. Their coach is too boring to be effective.
I think if they get Hayden Young back and in form in time for finals it makes them significantly more capable. He gives their midfield that layer of class, poise and skill by foot that they lack.

They also have Darcy, Pearce, Walters, Switkowski and O’Meara on the sidelines currently.
Not sure Walters and O’Meara get a run anymore in their best team

They have a list that should I would have thought say compete with Geelong.
They kicked straight to make it 40 points last night
I think they should have been able to bury us by 10 goals plus.

Absolutely, was crazy how they slowed the game down so often, any decent would have easily had a 60+ win
They have serious talent. Its coaching.
Melbourne at their peak were the same.
I dunno I just think Adelaide, Geelong, Brisbane and Collingwood all look more capable right now

Michael Walters has retired. Outstanding career and he was a great entertainer.
One thing Kane Cornes got absolutely spot on was in 2023 when Fremantle handed both Fyfe and Walters 2 year deals at their age and with their injury history that it was stupid. And that has really proven to be the case. Walters wasn’t able to play at all in the second year of the deal and Fyfe is as banged up and cooked as any player you’re likely to see. I get the whole, respect your champions thing but it was pretty ordinary list management. They were done.
I certainly hope for their sake that they’ve had a profound effect off-field for the group.
