Season 2025 - GWS

Maybe CJ…but we need to look at who they’ve beaten so far

West Coast
Melbourne
Adelaide (thanks to some very dodgy umpiring that even the AFL admit was bad)
North
Sydney

And let’s not forget that Richmond beat them.

So I think I’ll hold off on saying they’ve arrived until they actually beat a good side

Gold coast have had the easiest draw in the comp. Caught lots of sides with injuries or down on form.

but gws’s amazing training program that was so much better than ours?

Haha geez what a familiar story.

Did we ever drop a player for not being fit enough?

Do we ever drop players at all?

Nope, we play them every game and then dump them at the end of the season for peanuts

Can we get the Jake stringer thread open again
Also what happened with the pick we got for him
Edit stuff it let’s just say it was zak Johnson

It’s not a straight forward thing, it was involved in a whole chain of pick swaps, but from within that we got Kayle Gerreyn on the night.

Hmmm maybe ‘culture’ is actually pretty player driven after all

Jay Neagle? remember the Hungry Jacks memes.

Jarrod Atkinson

could go down as a great trade one day.
#53 was Stringer

A lot depends on Angus Clarke + Kayle Gerryn

So the answer is yes but not in the last 15 years

GWS social media a bit touchy today.

Sam Taylor out for 4-6 with a broken toe.

I feel like he could probably be a 3 or 4 time All Australian but he’s only got there once because just about every year he cops a significant enough injury.

I do think he’s been slightly down on previous years this season tbh but in a year where key backs in general haven’t stood out he’d probably be in there currently.

Brent Daniels gone as well. Probably their two most important players or close to (Hogan obviously up there).

I reckon Callaghan is their most important player now coz their midfield is garbage.

Daniels is overrated, his typical year is injury, purple patch, injury, complete loss of form. They have about 6 small forward types that can cover his position to an adequate level. Taylor is a star, but again they have good depth in defence it’s their strongest area.

If they ever get midfield depth they’ll win a flag with their forward and backline. Complete negligence from McCartney and Caruso the past 2 years not thickening the soup in the midfield, when they are right in the window. They’ve gone backwards since 2023 for this obvious reason.

Stringer doing Stringer things to win GWS the game. I fully expect a hammy to ping in 3 weeks though. He really wasn’t a good fit for us, he makes much more sense at a contender like GWS.

yep. the most mercurial player in the league.

You’re welcome. He has played a total of 8 games and has kicked 10 goals and has had injuries and will most likely have more. If that excites you then we are pleased for you.

And to add to that, he’s also contracted for next year.

Nobody doubts his talent, but you’ve gotta doubt his ability to play well into 2026
