Season 2025 - St Kilda

He is absolutely cooked. Off field as well as on.

Am I the only one wondering how the Aints are affording all these players? Some of the current players must be feeling short changed.

Looks like Max Heath might move, so that should clear their cap issues.

Willkie feels this way he’s 29 but if we lose Ridley he would be a handy pick up to guide and mentor the young back line

I don’t watch Can Tong much but I always found Jack Silvagni mediocre at best.

Hopefully there will be a big crunch in the next year or two and some decent role players will be forced out cheaply. Interesting that Windhager hasn’t signed yet.

I dont know who Max Hall is.. The rest sound vaguely familiar. I hope Wilkie leaves for somewhere else.

Their best 23 is gonna be an interesting look

Flyin Ryan the latest addition. Hope they have a good supply of chewy

Sounds like they’ve ran out of money, made promises they can’t keep. Reckon they have cooked their list for a long time this offseason

Is it because Geelong are pivoting to Curnow at the expense of Marshall? Saints were probably relying on the Marshall picks and getting his salary off the books in order to afford Aleer. Writing cheques before they banked the funds.

Yep and they wanted Steele off their books too who would be on a decent wicket

Apparently Steele’s on a back ended contract of about $1 million a year.

I’m sure they could have got a 2nd rounder from somewhere if they really wanted to.

Sounds like someone advised them that they had a salary cap.

So St Kilda have been paying unders for years and at their first attempt to spend their salary cap the get it wrong.

Pretty sure it’s the other way around. They have been paying so little of the cap they front loaded Steele, King etc so they would have money to spend now.
