Watched last night’s episode of The Front Bar and one of the guests was John Longmire.
He was right up there (imo) as one of their best guests ever.
Spoke really well and was very self deprecating.
What surprised me was him saying that they knew Franklin was coming to Sydney 12 months before he actually announced it.
So Longmire and a select few others must have been laughing their heads at all the AFL’s posturing about him going to GWS.

Horse seems like a decent guy.
An oncology patient of mine who was also a Sydney supporter knew Horse somehow (was a property steward or something like at the Swans).
When he was at Peter Mac, Horse had apparently arranged for some Swans merch to get sent to the hospital (can at least vouch for there being merch sent as it was everywhere lol) and had even Zoomed in every couple of days to make sure he was going alright.

I think in general Sydney are a very good club.
They are just the AFLs original nepo babies, and the SCG is the land outrageous umpiring decisions or non decisions deciding matches in their favour.
They were always gonna struggle for motivation this year after their grand final thrashing, but i did think when Cox got them doing extra punishing stuff in the pre season that it wouldn’t go down well, especially with a mature and otherwise successful playing group.
