Season 2025 - West Coast

The fact he got Dodo out the door is enough to call his tenure a successful one, regardless of if he see’s us out of the doldrums.

Harley Reid says he is “incredibly excited” after signing a two-year contract extension with West Coast.

There had been speculation a number of Victorian clubs were offering lucrative contracts to lure him back home.

The news was a rare bright spot for the Eagles after the club claimed its second wooden spoon in three years.

$2 mill each year would be exciting to a player that, so far, is only middling.
I wonder what his next pay check will be after that if he does get going to full potential?

tbh I’m not even sold his potential/ceiling is as high as he’s been hyped up.

Lacks the foot skills to be Dusty Mk2, and lacks the athleticism/size to be a Danger or Fyfe.

Has the potential to fall somewhere between those 3 and Matt Rowell and end up a very good, but probably not generational, player.

As long as we don’t get him, I couldn’t care less where he ends up.

Finals club if none named.

Reid would have requested a trade to Essendon if we were half competent.

He saw what transpired this year and thought no, no fkn way.

More likely he thought “that Brad Scott ■■■■ will play Gresham in the midfield and I’ll rot in the VFL”

I’d still love Harley Reid and don’t think he’s overrated at all.

he say scott drop johnson and said nah i’ll take another hungry jacks in perth

Thank goodness he re signed with them

No way is he worth what we would of had to give up for him

I’d have had him on two years for 4 mill like NAS if we weren’t spending the money anyway.

who cares what the club pays for a players as long as they have enough to go around.

Look at our current list of RFAs. That will tell you who is in the top 25% of the club.

Harrison Jones, Nick Guelfi, Zac Reid and Jye Caldwell.

Former WC player Mitch Brown has come out as bisexual, quite courageous and perfect timing. Good on him

I don’t care if it’s the draft or trade table as long as the talent is young.

Because it’s got to be developed into a side better than the current top dogs of the comp.

No point getting mid career role players like Dodoro did in the past

Hopefully this opens the floodgates slightly for other players to feel comfortable enough to openly be themselves.

More power to him for having the fortitude to do so.

Brown recalled sitting in a massage room next to six teammates when the topic of gay players arose.

“I remember two people having a conversation around how they would feel having a shower next to a gay man, and one of the players said, ‘I’d rather be in a cage full of lions than have a shower next to a gay man,’” Brown said.

Can see why no players have spoken until now. Imagine hearing ■■■■ like that
