Slip into a cinema and give yourself a treat …

Canadian wives are strange AD. I have one as well.
Living over here ATM. For me it’s the reverse- trying to find Darrel Lea Liquorice, and Vegemite in the land of the Beaver.
And yes, Twizzlers are a second rate approximation of the real thing.

But seriously, all this talk of cheesy-flavoured condiments.
There is only one snack worthy of the mantle.
The one
The only
My immortal beloved

And I just can’t find it in the land of the Beaver.

Have some Timbits and Kernels for me. Not sure when we’ll be able to get there to eat them (or see family too, I guess).

Can we send chocolates in the post?

Because now I know where to send my left over Cherry Ripes from all the boxes of Favourites my clients give me.

Now just need someone who actually eats Turkish Delights!

Like their Hazlenut log.

Whittakers Jelly Tip is delicious as well.

Thread has taken an unsavoury turn…

Use Cheese supreme CC’s for Nachos.

You too hey? Obviously I can’t have Picnics because of my nut allergy. I always leave Turkish delight and Crunchie for last. Happy to get the Cherry Ripe posted to me lol.

Also the Fry’s Turkish Delight is absolute god level.

The so called “turkish delight” we get here is shoe glue covered in chocolate. You guys should try the authentic Turkish Delight you get in Turkey…melts in the mouth in a waft of rose water scented aromatic sensation.
You can buy it locally made here, which is a pretty good replica but not exactly the same.

I see them as totally different products.

I love proper authentic Turkish delight, it’s amazing.

But I also love the gloopy Australian version too.

I also love proper authentic woodfired pizza, just as I love a dirty greasy pizza from the local joint. Totally different products and it’s ok to like both.

Darrell Lee somewhat but it’s the strap liquorice that has really got me! My wife and mate did an intervention a few weeks back!!
