It’s a ■■■■■■■ tragedy is what it is

Just another to add to the long list of examples of modern Australia leaving First Australians behind.

I honestly think the game has changed so much over the past 10 years, it has moved away from how a lot of indigenous boys play. Which is unfortunate.

Not sure that, there are some exceptional indigenous boys running around kicking goals, doing incredible stuff l

Less and less.

That’s horseshit, Bobby Hill won the norm smith medal 13 months ago, Callum Ah Chee and Charlie Cameron kicked 5 goals in years grand final.

The reasons not the talent, it’s the pathway and the development

And??

I didn’t say there were no good indigenous footballers.

And what?

That’s the problem. It’s too professional now. There isn’t enough money to do these things.

I’d argue it’s worth the investment because the overall objective Is winning games of football and spending and extra $200k a year developing indigenous players helps you do that

Or you can not do that and still be successful.

Show me the last premship team with no indigenous players in it?

Also, show me the last time we were successful

Do they have to be drafted through NGA??

My cryptic post yesterday ‘1984 Premiership player’ was my little way of dropping in a scoop.

Two ex premiership players and Barham.

Ok, now it becomes an interesting vote. Three potential name recognition vote getters won’t fit into two spots.

no, but statistically speaking the area our NGA is in has produced more Norm Smith Medalists than anywhere else in thecountry.

It’s probably a good place to start

I love Paul Weston, just saying.

I assume Barham will get on. He will be lobbying sponsors, coteries for votes and hope the supporters will understand more stability is needed to deliver ‘his’ plan which is only entering 3rd year.

I hope Barham is returned, I think a really important person to do another term. Club needs stability and leadership and whilst he’s not perfect, the clubs needs stability and unity as much as anything if it’s to transform itself completely.

As to the other candidates, neither of them really fill me with enormous confidence. I’m not convinced another X footballer on the board is taking us forward. Thats Andy Welsh as footy director to do and Vozzo’s task to ensure a strong footy dept.
