You don’t just delist everyone. Some may have currency, i’d certainly rather trade a player than give him up for free. If nobody is interested then you delist them.

I would have traded him at the end of last season, and I would trade him now. I wouldn’t care about what we get in return, just getting his salary off the books would be enough.

I’ve got no issue with criticism of the team performance.
Have to say that I’m a bit ■■■■■■ at the idea that the players who are part of a failing team are cracking it at the lack of performance as if they are not responsible.
I’m fine if a player wants to go home interstate. I support a player who leaves for opportunity they’re not getting. I understand if one leaves for a much bigger contract. I don’t get it of one leaves because the team isn’t winning.
The fact there is an award for this says a lot

We are the type of club that will give out participation awards in order not to hurt anyone’s feelings.

I don’t mind Hep standing up to the club, he can do that. What i don’t like is him accusing an Essendon champion of “trying to stay relevant”. Sorry Hep, you are a decent player but you are not fit to tie the shoes of Lloyd or Tim Watson so show some respect. Defend the club all you want, don’t go the person attack on a club legend who is just hurting at seeing just how bad we are.
