I could tolerate injuries and poor player attitudes with a new coach if this was a new phenomenon, but I feel like I’ve seen this time and time again since Sheedy left. The club is a basket case lead by self interested incompetents or good ol boy ex players.
This is what guts me most, everytime i think weve hit rockbottom we go even lower.
Even those seasons in between the horrible seasons are pathetic.
We’ve had so many, that 2015 doesn’t even make the list.
it’s knights mk2
fletch threatening it’s him or me
ditto jobe
and senior players disgruntled that knights was favouring the young kids cos you know rebuild.
You know I think 2009 or 2017 may be my favourite bad seasons of the last 18 years.
Yep - any review needs to be entirely independent (heck, even appoint an independent panel to pick who conducts the review) and encompass everything from top to bottom. Do it once, do it properly.
There are numerous highly credentialed people from a range of sports (or even other relevant fields) who would do it for the right price.
That’s because of Tayte Pears and Orazio.
You don’t do a review unless you know the answer you want to find.
Maybe those supposed senior players should question why I’m watching them ■■■■■■■ jogging along.
Doing everything right and not getting the result? Spare me. You couldn’t call anyone of our players, other than Martin and Wright, professional. And one of them didn’t join us until this year.
Dunstall would be my top choice to lead an external review
Would then have Buckley,Ross Lyon on the panel
2 coaches that haven’t won a flag. Interesting choice.
I think 2009 takes the cake.
-
Smash high flying Carlton twice
-
beat Collingwood on Anzac day
-
beat Richmond at Dreamtime
-
beat reigning premier Hawthorn twice
-
beat top of the ladder St Kilda
I would have Hodge on the list too.
NO FORMER ESSENDON PEOPLE OR ■■■■ THE REVIEW OFF.
You had me with the Zakka goal on ANZAC day.
Who cares if they didn’t that fact is Both coaches got their teams to a gf pies were unlucky not to win it imo both know what it takes to get there
Well, I think the issue is that those who need to commission it know what the answers will be, and it may not look overly favourable upon them.
Two sides of the same coin I guess.
Do all of that and then play the final without a ruck. Genius.
Yep hodge would be great
Oh you know if we announced a review it’d be headed by Sheedy.
if we cant be good, let’s have the worst possible season ever.
one that our grandchildren will never forget. a fight between 2 of our own players on ground mid game bad
