Cox injured his ankle in the VFL
Exactly - he shouldn’t have been there in first place.
At least they’re playing Bryan finally.
I live in Greenvale; I’m like 10 minutes from it… and I’ve never been there. If I wanted to, I’d have to go all the way down Mickleham Rd and then do a nearly 180 degree turn and go 2-3 ks almost completely in the opposite direction. There isn’t really a direct way to get to it if you are on this side of the freeway.
I forget it’s even there sometimes.
No point hitting the draft and bringing in a bunch of kids if you don’t surround them with senior onfield leaders and development coaches that can refine their skills.
Agreed - do what we are dishing up is acceptable???
Essendon Airport would’ve been much better, had they have had some foresight…
This 100%
I was 38 last time we won a flag. I turn 60 in two weeks. Let that ■■■■■■■ sink in.
Welcome to the Blitz 60+ club. Its a long haul I agree
I live in Darwin and I’ve been there
It’s not that hard
Xavier Campbell has made an art form out of leveraging off our glorious past and appropriating it to camouflage his utter culpability in destroying the current day club.
This man, and I use the term loosely should announce his resignation on Monday morning. Brasher, the daft old fool needs to bring in an independent management firm to review the entire operation and seek out the most suitable long term management solution.
Clarkson needs to be offered whatever it takes. He may ■■■■ up but at least he comes with pure coaching credentials unlike a single coach we have had in more than god knows how many decades.
Just look at our coaches since the 70s. Other than Worsfold, not one came to the club with prior experience. Sheedy proved to be an inspired choice despite overstaying his welcome.
Clarkson May be yesterday’s man but at least he would not put up with the junk this squad is currently dishing out.
And finally, Dodoro. Not even Jesus Bloody H Christ lasted as long as this guy yet 22 years of quantifiable failure continues to be rewarded. What company or competent organization does that?
You do realise he will bring one of his mates from PWC to write a report that says exactly what he wants it to say.
I think the size of the losses will be what could bring Rutten down this season , unless he can somehow get them to pull out some surprise wins.
Campbell
Dodoro
Brasher
Rutten
All need to walk.
I do also think there’s also something very wrong with this playing group. There’s very little remonstrating any time there’s physicality, Zero care for one another. The way Redman spoke to Shiel showed exactly where we’re at.
Something stinks here. Would love to know what’s actually going on.
In my short forays into management positions I was fairly critisisied for being too soft on my staff.
I always found it hard to balance enforcing the expected workrate with having empathy for situations in their personal lives.
If I was to get the CEO job at the hanger starting Monday, I’ll sack everyone at this ■■■■■■■ club by morning smoko.
24 players OOC this year. Should be interesting.
And yet the two who should be (Smith and Shiel) aren’t OOC
Pay their salaries and beg for absolutely anything in return.
Truck has walked into a club with deep cultural problems where the players run the show and the administrators and board have a complete lack of professionalism.
The club needs a head coach who’s smart/cunning enough to negotiate this and has strength demand respect.
When I hear Merrett on radio saying we beat hawthorn because we had less team meetings, or team strategy changes from week to week based on Kingy’s critiques on Fox footy, I know Truck isn’t up to the job.
Our fitness and medical staff are the worst in the league ……soft tissue injuries, ankles and repeat injuries ……it’s Groundhog Day
Merrett has dropped some interesting comments over the past couple of weeks. I don’t think he’s invested in the Truck direction at all.
