I don’t know anyone who gives them money anymore. Certainly no one in my family has given them money for years.
I defy anyone to find a more hopeless collection than Essendon Presidents of the 21st century.

Wait til we lose to Dogs and Crows then get belted on Anzac Day ……there is a real possibility we are at 4 wins come the bye……the pressure on Brad, DB the board, list management and our fitness guru will be unbearable……….its already started after round 4 and it’s going to be a press feeding frenzy

He’s about 10 seasons too late. Like when robbo tried to claim ‘There’s always next year’ despite the fact it’s been an Essington catch phrase in here for ages.
I feel a bit like this with my 12yo. It’s my fault, indoctrination from an early age. He was asking the other day what it was like, who coached, when we were successful. Being in Brisbane in 2024, he doesn’t get to go to Windy Hill, MCG (or Docklands) like I did to even get an outing and cultural experience, win or lose. Suspect he will lose all interest if he doesn’t start to see more wins/less thrashings soon. And I wouldn’t blame him.

It is worth bearing in mind that we didn’t play 2 top 4 fancies away interstate in the first 4 weeks of last year.
The footage they showed of our lack of tall representation down the line highlights a structural problem and one of draper’s big issues as both an on baller and a tall forward. He’s pretty useless between the arcs if the ball isn’t in a stoppage.
And honestly wright isn’t that much better as a down the line target because he’s too easily boxed out. Ditto Jones

Where were we ranked before last week’s debacle? Last week’s game alone would have a massive impact on those stats so I’ll happily take those rankings with a pinch of salt right now.
King is better off showing the vision of our crap ball use and decision making last week when Port went one on one. Makes more sense and has more relevance at this point in the season.
I was more concerned when Montagna said that Port have tended to defend one on one all year so our coaching group either were not prepared or did not prepare our players very well.
