Something seriously wrong with the club (Part 3, August 2022)

Can’t believe that’s 4 years ago. We’ve been saying the right things for so long but very little changing . I’m cross

Who watched footy classified last night? They weren’t harsh enough on Dodo.

So the players perform poorly and somehow it is the President and CEO that didn’t score enough goals.

Plenty has changed. Sadly the results are the things that are staying the same.

Does the clock reset for Vozzo and co? Do we give them time to execute change? I keep reading that the fans would be patient but I’m not so sure there’s much of that left, particularly when it seems as though we are just repeating errors of the past.

Didn’t Lloyd praise him for his love and devotion to Essendon.

Those two should have the cojones to punt Dodoro out the door with immediate effect.
They are a weak board if they can’t

If a premiership coach not going around another time wasn’t enough to raise some serious eyebrows I don’t know what is.

Cant just get rid of someone on the spot who is so politically entrenched the way this crook is unfortunately

I am not sure if BDB will survive a clean out and reset of this list. Which I think we need. Seeing the way the media has reacted after a bad loss is embarrassing. Expect it to some degree with nuff supporters like myself, but the media has lost its mind. Truely spectacular overreaction for a team that was predicted by most to be bottom 6 and is currently 2-2. You can’t fairly criticise the current setup at the club for the sins of the past 20years. Let’s see what changes are made in fitness/medical space and let’s hope Dodo gets pushed out once and for all. Then the whole place has been turned over and I’m prepared to give them another couple of years.

How many losses ahead before ‘we’ ask for Scott’s sacking? In that, if they scrap this latest program and sack a coach again in the next 18 months the Club will be in further trouble. I just hope the club sees through all this noise and ploughs on.

Hard times ahead, lumpy as expected. There’s no other way forward than sticking with this Vozzo / Mc Pherson / Scott program. Even Selwood on SEN talked about how stability is paramount. Pray we don’t implode again! The media will want blood. But it won’t help Essendon.

Yep, and Rosa fronting up drafts and signings. Clear out everyone else before touching these guys, I wanna see what they can do.

Stability is great in the absence of better options. We should always be looking for better options.

I don’t know what they are or if they are even available. But we can’t just ignore them if they arise under a pretense of “stability”.

Very good point.

To suggest that the culture in the women’s program was different from the men (if not worse), is completely wrong.

Especially after the exodus of coaching staff and players after the premiership win.

That just shows you the importance of a quality list. They can rise above it.
