Something seriously wrong with the club (Part 3, August 2022)

If he legit offered a suggestion, you’d just say same thing as we’ve done the last 20 years.

It’s been going around in circles for weeks.

Not saying you’re wrong btw.

We need a circuit breaker.

Some say years…

Heppell will be an IN this week for his farewell game.

Feels that way

And to top off all the misery Hawthorn and their little scabby coach are in the eight.

Honestly, i would put anyone up for trade bar a couple (caldwell, durham, caddy just to name a couple)

I’d actively shop guys like redman, ridley, mcgrath, stringer, perkins, cox, Langford etc. Make it known to other clubs pretty much anyone is up for trade and we’ll sell cheap

I’d even trade merrett for the right price (also for his own good)

I dont even care what the return is. Give me a third round pick for each of them for all i care. The most important part is this list is blown up, not what we get for them

I agree. Needs a culture reset. This list is too broken mentally and too talent thin.

I honestly should be the list manager

Spot on, posters like nino will argue that we can’t afford to lose all our good players. Look what these guys have done over the years, they’re not going to change, they’re the same players that are mentally fragile. Even if we hit the very bottom of the draft and get some real elite talent in, it’s much better than floating midtable season upon season. What comes from being at the bottom and getting that elite talent through the door can also build sustainable success.

It is as much about getting players out as it is getting new players in.

Not true if we could get decent picks in return for our good players i wouldnt be aginst trading them but we wont. you cant build a list with 2nd and 3rd picks becuase that all they are worth in terms of a trade

Lucas yes. Lloyd was a pre draft selection wasnt he? like Trelor and Shiel for GWS

I think it was Dimma who wanted to rebuild but when he told the club the home truths about the state of the list he didn’t get the job.

Can Merrett sue over his contract because the club said they were committed to change and haven’t?

List has to get fitter.

Look at what happened to Caldwell and Durham and then their subsequent form.

We need the whole list like that. Get absolutely jacked.

it’ll only involve a rebuild once merrett hits 30

Durham and Caldwell has to be the blue print of the players we draft and bring in via trade/FA players who are hungry for contest and a will to get better

No more private school guys or skinny types that take years to develop

thats only next year
