You have pundits on bloated Essendon fan podcasts just looking for every opportunity to pump the club up. If a player has an above average game, you have fans raving “ohhhh, they were absolutely unbelievable.”
Sorry but no. They were fine. Stop over exaggerating how good a player is when they are serviceable, or play one good game every 10.
There’s a whole bunch of fans who want to have the spot light, and will try and ‘out do’ each other with positivity…… without any sense of realism.

Im seeing far more people on here who are seemingly unable to accept that our older players aren’t up to it and are doing very little other than passing on all the toxic cultural traits of all the failed Essendon teams of the last 20 years to the next generation.
How did all those invaluable older players go last night?
Did they show leadership?
Did they refocus the group early when it was clear they were rattled?
Did they fire a shot when they needed to lead by example and go hard and fast at the ball?
Did they even raise an eyebrow when Roberts was getting physically bullied and mocked?
The kids have been thrashed this year by decent teams with all those irreplaceable older players we apparently need.
If these things were one offs, fine, but they clearly aren’t.
This is who they are and ‘what they stand for’
The only thing our older players are doing is keeping us in no mans land in the middle of the table.

And those kids become like north where they dont know how to win or what winning looks like
I wanted us to get Luke Parker. Because I don’t believe that Redman, or McGrath, or Shiel, are driving the standards for us to improve.
Instead we’ve rewarded these players with 6-7 year contracts.

I dont trust our club to get it right
So you trust Brad fully, but not the club?
They aren’t getting anything right. I’d rather see Tsatas play than Shiel. Or Nguyen for Redman.

Tbh i dont trust anybody at the point where the afl needs to intervine to fix us up but will never happen
We haven’t come close to bottoming out, the AFL shouldn’t do a thing.
