Something seriously wrong with the club (Part 4, August 2024)

You’re not alone mate. This club is tiring and there is very little return on investment - emotional or financial.

But also who suggested you support Essendon when you arrived on these shores? They have a lot to answer for! Have you hunted them down and given them a knuckle sandwich yet?

I didn’t watch the Sydney game, Bulldogs game or the North game.

There was zero point to watching these.

Not really any kids coming in. Same players, same mistakes.

I’m so sick of Redman, McGrath, Gresham, Shiel, McKay, Parish and Ridley.

They’re all 27+ and still havent overcome their butchering of the ball and terrible decision making.

The injuries have been a godsend for this club

Thankfully I’m old enough to have seen this club be successful. It’s mind boggling that there are people like yourself who have only ever known us to be completely and utterly useless, with no end in sight. An entity absolutely guaranteed to make the wrong decision whenever there is one to be made.

I haven’t watched a game of football in over a month. It’s been farking fantastic!!

This prevailing attitude is indicative of the growing momentum to clean the stables.

Who is the EFC Hercules?

Caddy, Kako, Roberts, Day-Wicks, Hayes, El Hawli just off the top of my head.

Our supporters don’t want a rebuild.

You mean, most supporters don’t want a full blown rebuild. Essendon is transitioning its list.

More of a job for David v Goliath (Essendon)

Totally agree with your sentitments, I have stopped using Kayo, sick of paying $30 a month to watch a team that won’t be anything other than bottom 4 this year, and not even bothering to watch games on 7 for free. I reckon this is one of the worst seasons this club has had, scott is a dud of a coach, and a cleanout of dud players hopefully happen come 1 Oct. So for the next few months, as essendon once again won’t be particiapting in September, yet again, I will find something else to do on weekends.

Just circling back on this.
I’ve seen good Essendon people, become very angry because their friend [person X] has been sacked from the club, because the club doesn’t want ‘Essendon people’.

Meanwhile [Person X] is a conniving piece of sh*t, who has fvcked over the club for personal financial gain, has put their own self interest ahead of the club, and has disenfranchised regular supporters and insulted them behind closed doors.

Person X is multiple people who have held powerful roles at the club.

Iam just going to be the one to come out and say it.
You are the jinx. Please stop supporting Essendon immediately and lets see if the curse lifts

Not much evidence of that.

Our list is the equal 4th youngest list in the league (average age); 6th youngest the year before that.

We are all attached to a very poor football club unfortunately. I haven’t watched a single game this year, can’t deal with us anymore.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a rebuild year or not, I’m sick of being ■■■■ and I don’t like how this club has made me feel for years and years. Constant disappointment and let downs and false dawns and sagas and poor lists with some of the worst game plans and tactics year in year out, coupled with basic skill errors.
I feel better not watching us and just coming here for a summary. My weekend is better, and I’m happier not investing time or money into a poorly run organisation.

I don’t care if I’m labelled a band wagon supporter but I’m not watching us play again until blitz tells me if/when we have a ■■■■■■■ good side

No one will be happy untill we sack/trade the entire team and fill it up with 18 year olds.

The night is always darkest before the dawn.
