I just downloaded a full year of top of the pops of 1986. Some of it’s been good, others amusing. The hosts gags never ever work.

Harpo is/was Swedish. Had the world at his feet then he went to jail because he refused to do his compulsory Swedish national service as a conscientious objector. A large number of his fans kinda deserted him after that - so he moved to the US and is still trying to catch the lightning in a bottle a second time.
