Weideman will not be dropped
Scott has made that very clear
I hope he gets a few marks kicks a couple and gets his confidence back.
Hind is doing ok
He did make one mistake which was a skill error but so did many others in the first half. Hind is having a go and his speed is needed. He has improved .
Phillips was jogging across the ground after the game…
If Merrett is suspended and Parish isn’t ready to come back, could we see the debut of Tsatas? Or is it a couple weeks too early?
Out: Merrett (Susp), Phillips, Massmio
In: Parish, Bryan
Sub: Shiel
Emg: Shiel, Kelly, Phillips, Baldwin.
B: McGrath Zerk-Thatcher Laverde
hb: Redman Ridley Hind
c: Martin Parish Durham
hf: Perkins Wright Weideman
f: Menzie Draper Guelfi
R: Bryan Hobbs Caldwell
int: Heppell, Snelling, Langford, Stringer
I can’t see any reports of Merrett potentially under MRO scrutiny. Is there a link somewhere? I can’t recall him doing anything ‘dangerous’ yesterday!
I’m getting frustrated with this dangerous tackle bs…
He’s gonna get a week. Its pretty clear thats suspendable now
Is RISH back?
Baldwin for Lav?
ducks rotten tomatoes
Lav went at 100% last night.
He isn’t going out of the team for Baldwin or anyone else.
imagine will be close for freo as supposed to be due back week after (but we have been conservative with time frames lately, under promise over deliver)
Shiel if foot ok too, then setterfield week after that potentially.
no chance.
LAV and Zerk did good jobs on Blues talls.
midfield helped with pressure on delivery too.
Fair enough.
Lav looked a bit off to me.
No hate.
Edit: also, Baldwin did nothing wrong in the seniors and has looked good in the magoos.
ANNOUNCE LIVECAST
Zerk was very lucky . He should’ve had 5 kicked on him. And gave away a ton of frees in the wrong places
My changes
Parish for guelfi
Baldwin for Zerk
Shiel for Snelling
Snelling very stiff . Shiel to half forward can kick goals
Phillips is playing his role . Not the best but does crash the packs . Something Bryan doesn’t do well
Weid will relish the bye. He created space last night. And a break will do him good has had a tough Start to the year taking best defender every week.
I have to think that if an opposition backman had the choice of playing on Snelling or Shiel, they’d choose Snelling eleven times out of ten.
Bringing Parish and Shiel in means, we have to find spots for either them or Cladwell, Hobbs and Archie. The later three is the future, but we can’t play that many pure mids at the same time. I’m including Archie because he was good in the middle last night.
