Speculation on changes for tin rattlers 13th July

Outside of Hep for Langford can’t see many other changes

Zlarke will stay in, ordinary for most of game but slowly worked his way into it. You’d think the coaches/players should be able to ensure better connection from ruck/mids after the review. Smack stays fwd/ruck. Hooker needed for Ben Brown.

Snelling is pressing hard but not sure where you’d get him in. They aren’t going to drop Fantasia for him, so perhaps it’s LAV who had no impact and Snelling then genuinely playing that Smith role of manic pressuring fwd/mid

I would drop Brown for Hepp over Langford

Yeah i’d back him to be OK against their huge, nasty half-backs Jasper Pittard or Polec.

Admittedly Marley Williams has a bit more agro about him, but this is hardly Brisbane 2002 here.

North are playing well, this is a tough game.

They open the game up though and can get burnt on counter attack and with quick ball movement, so our opportunities can be there.

Still worried about the forward line.

I’m a bit worried about our backline without Ambrose. I’m a bit worried about our mids - especially if Heppell is out & I’m worried about our ruck and our forward line!!

you don’t need the greatest forward line when you keep your opponents to ~10-11 goals.

We’re gonna win. Bring on Adelaide.

30% raz is not good enough to carry.

I just had a quick look at the Tribunal rules document.

The rules don’t allow for a bad record to be an automatic suspension and there is no maxing out of fines so to speak. They do allow for a bad record to mean the player can be sent directly to the Tribunal though.

However as the rules describe the penalty $ amounts for ‘third and subsequent offences’ it implies that a player can get multiple fines and that’s ‘OK’ i.e. it is only if a player has a bad record of more serious offenses that he might get sent to the Tribunal.

What we do need is Shiel to kick a goal or 2. That’s really hurting us when the rest of the forward line is all over the shop.

Thanks for the answer. I thought they might’v dropped that clause in the last year or two.

To be fair, we had a decent rivalry 1993-2001. And they accuse of being out of date!

That we win and when he kicks 0-3 suggests it’s not hurting us.

Oh I’m sorry. Did you miss Anzac day? You might think that falling across the line against Sydney it didn’t hurt us. But he’s going to need to kick some of those in the next few weeks if we’re going to be a chance.

IN: Heppell Hartley

OUT: Guelfi Brown

Hooker to go forward

We have looked so average without Hooker up forward over the past 2 weeks. Make that change now as if we don’t, we will be 6 goals down on Saturday by the time the move is made

The accumulation of his fines for indiscretions /bad record this year may well see him miss this week

AFL trying to stamp out off the ball punches and that was a blatant incident of it, complete brainfade really given ball with Saints player to his right instead.

Would love for him to get a week but can’t see it happening.

Shaw has come out and said he didn’t think there was anything in it.

Coach defends his best player who also happens to be a dirty sniping dog… well I never.
