Speculation on changes vs Suns (R19, 2019)

What did Heppell say post game? People are talking like he said he’s struggling.
If it can’t get any worse by playing then yes, may as well keep playing him now.

Yeah you would have to think last night was a reasonably comfortably win if Reilly O’Brien didn’t run rampant in the first half. Clarke would nullified him in the ruck at least. Probably Clarke for Snelling (unlucky) for mine, unless it’s wet

In: clarke, Lav
Out: Hooker, Snelling

If Hep if still sore then take him out and bring in maybe Begley.

Give Raz one more week.

Heppell rested, Redman rested

Myers in Baguley in goodbye games

We will still belt them, be a nice send off

BUT in dreamland…

Ins: Fanta, Laverde, Clarke

Outs: Heppell, McKernan and Langford

A better sendoff for Myers and Baguley would be the VFL grand final

YOU. Are the real traveller.

I am thinking we are almost at the point where we no longer actually need Hooker and Hurley down back. We have rebound and lockdown guys ready to go. Hooker forward, put Hurley down there when he is fit and give Stringer more midfield time.
The team is evolving rapidly and its the young players pushing its evolution.

Goodbye games? When we are fighting for a spot in the 8 or even top 6?

NO

clarke if available for hooker rested
Lav for hepp ONLY if you are going to move snelling into more midfield time, and only if he needs a rest again.
otherwise just the one change.

Hang on, are you saying put Hurley forward as well?

Out:- Hooker (rested), Heppell (rested) Langford
In:- Lav, Begley & Zac Clark

Definitely need to rest Hooker & Heppell, also need Clarke to have any chance against Witts. Guelfi was the weakest link against the Crows and we need to be able to take advantage of the (potential) load of inside 50’s, so McKernan mostly fwd and Lav back in.
Shift Langford more onball, good chance to get his confidence back up.
Zerk comes in to add a bit more height down back, and cause it’s a good debut chance. Release Francis to the Roaming Hurley role and, all things going well, give him a spurt on the ball.

Out: Hooker, Heppell, Guelfi
In: Z.Clarke, Zerk, Lav

Yep. He might have to come back through the 2s

Snelling? Went okay, nothing special. Stays in?

I’m just happy to have selections problems with so many injuries and a vfl team still on top of the ladder.

If Guelfi could stick a tackle he would be a much better asset

We need to go for the jugular against The Suns and improve our percentage.

It could make a big difference who we play in the first week of finals.

Please provide regular reports of Suns fans trashing our team on their board.

Suns have only won 2 of their last 18 home games - a 3 point win vs Fremantle (R2 2019) & a 2 point win vs Carlton (R4 2019).

Their highest score in all 18 of those games was 88 points (R17 2017).

We have conceded the second least points in the competition since Round 4 - an average of 70 points per game.

The early forecast for the Gold Coast next Sunday (not surprisingly for this time of year) is fine and mild.

@scotty21 are you going to be conflicted when Hartley towels up that spud 2MP on Sunday?
