Speculation on the team to pile on the Cats - 2020 round 16

What happened to the itchy and scratchy match this past week?

Hope that all the teams hanging around 7th to 12th absolutely crap the bed I guess. Main candidates are Melbourne (which are currently losing to the Bin Chickens as I write this message), Western Bulldogs and St Kilda.

Maybe @aboods might have an idea/contact?

So…the Dees result makes things interesting.

Isn’t that the kind of thing everyone’s been asking for though?

Have PM’d him.

No, I want him to get first crack and believe he will do a good job but if things do go pear shaped I hope they won’t leave him on Hawkins all day

ā€œLikelyā€ and ā€œmathematically possibleā€ are two very, very distinct scenarios

Unfortunately I don’t. The guy I was talking to is not at Maroochydore I don’t think and either doesn’t have the info or doesn’t want to say any more.

But my guess is that there would be a good chance of training tomorrow and it’s most likely to be around 11am. I reckon it’s worth trying that place you mentioned on sunday where you just missed them

Thanks. Will head down around that time.
@gorgo they trained at the Maroochydore ovals last Sunday - Cnr Bradman Ave & Fisherman’s rd. There’s 3 AFL ovals there. Last time they used the one off Bradman Ave

I’m not so much saying he isnt a defender as he’s not a ā€œsmallā€ defender
Putting him on little lightning quick guys is madness

He’s more suited to playing on a guy too big than smaller and fast

If results go our way we can slide all the way down to pick 4!!

Now I’m excited

They are the anti-Essendon; it doesn’t matter what they do, they’re still good. I am so sick of it and the associated ā– ā– ā– -kissing fest that has been going on now for over a decade. I’d rather see Collingwood win the flag.

Also, if you’re salty (as we all should be) about how we get shafted by the umpires, watch how they treat Geelong. It is unbelievable.

So you want him to learn, but not if he’s making mistakes?
You need to decide what’s more important to you.
Personally - I’m for winning every game, even if it takes a little longer to teach. I think winning teaches something also. But that’snot everyone’s opinion.

There is a difference between making a few mistakes and having a big bag kicked on you.
Most coaches will move a player if they have 3 or 4 kicked on them as they realise it does no one any good making them tough it out all game.
I think he will do a good job but Hawkins will get a lot of good looks at it with their midfield so all I’m saying is we need to be prepared to switch things if need be. No good doing a Steinberg with him :joy:
