I reckon it's Cram or Bellcho
Agreed. Just a hunch, but I reckon we may have had this one locked in for a little while. "Break in case of devastating PR".

Is that about normal for unsigned players at this stage of the current season?
Hoping for Melksham. Don't know if you would call him a star but!
I'm going to say it's T-Bell. Pretty significant signing if we can hang onto him.

I hope it's not him.....again, like Fletch, I want him to go around again. I just reckon T-Bell or Cramers is a bigger statement....even Melks is.
It’s Crameri.
This has to be the clubs Priority - There are still about 14 uncontracted players, of which I consider 6 to 8 to be core players. I can understand the players/managers holding off on re-signing contracts in the current climate. We cant afford to lose core players so its up to the club to make sure we hold on to draft picks/points - This is a non-negotiable.

The fairfax scum is putting the boot in again this morning, now aimed at the club - ‘the players can walk…’ laced with opinions (speculations) from employment lawyers interviewed etc. etc. Absolutely disgraceful.
GUMBLETON
Really hoping it is Crameri.
Looks like it is Melks
Hoping for Melksham. Don't know if you would call him a star but!
You might get your wish.
Got to say, his past 6-8 weeks have been very very very good.
Essendon is pleased to confirm exciting young midfielder, Jake Melksham, has agreed to a new deal.
The emerging star will remain a Bomber until at least the end of the 2015 season after signing a two year contract extension.
Jake has enjoyed a breakout season in the Bombers midfield, and the 21 year-old said it was great to put pen to paper ahead of tomorrow night‘s big clash against Carlton.
“Essendon showed their faith in me when they provided me with the opportunity to play AFL football and I wanted to repay that faith by signing on for a further two years,†Melksham said.
“This is a proud and strong football club. We have a great group of players, I couldn‘t be happier to remain a Bomber.â€
Senior coach, James Hird, said Jake‘s impressive form in the midfield was a result of his tireless work ethic.
“It‘s really pleasing to see Jake play some of his best football over the past four to five weeks and he‘s starting to develop into the midfielder we know he can be,†Hird said.
“It‘s pleasing in the sense that he has put so much time and effort into trying to become the best player he can possibly be.â€
“We have full faith that if continues to work hard and train hard he can become a great player for this football club.â€
Erect.
Not only because it's Melksham, but also because it's a ■■■■ you to reports that players are on the way out/disenchanted etc. I know that it doesn't mean that no-one will walk, but the fact anyone is signing on at all is fantastic.
Senor coach, James Hird, said Jake‘s impressive form in the midfield was a result of his tireless work ethic.
Onya Melk!
Great show of faith from a young gun. Keep up the good work.
Awesome. Long time hater, his last 2 months have blown me away and I'm definitely a convert. This is great news, both because it's a good signing, and becuase it's a good time.
Great news. He has really bounced back from his poor showing last year.
Melksham, Heppel and Zaharakis will be our big three in years to come and it's awesome that he's committed to the club!
