Kylo R should have decapitated H Solo and booted his falling head at Chewbacca whilst shouting "laugh it up, Fuzzball!"You MONSTER !
From my point of view…the Jedi are evil.
so repressive. also jar jar is supreme sith.

Saw it last night and loved it. So relieved I can come in this thread too. It has been taunting me for weeks!
The script has been released online. I read somewhere that Luke actually recognises Rey when he sees her at the end.
there is no doubt he does. She would have been in Jedi School.
One theory suggests that it is Ren that puts Rey on Jakkuu. As Rey is Lukes child he can’t bring himself to kill her. Instead he sells her to the junk collector.
An interesting theory online is that Rey is no ones daughter. She’s a clone of Luke.
It would explain Lukes lightsaber showing up, possibly recovered from Bespin along with Lukes hand still gripping it. With a prequel devoted to the clone army, it’s not a stretch to think Luke himself or someone else (with the hand) cloned an army of Jedi’s to replenish the previous slaughter at temple.
Ren and his Knights then repeated anakins temple purge at Lukes academy. Ren wanting to finish Vaders work.

I think there is a teensy problem with Rey being a clone of Luke.
I however am willing to go with the idea that the Midi-chlorians impregnated Luke, as was the case with Shmi, Anakin’s mother, it would have been a tricky pregnancy, but would make for a powerful offspring.

Who said anything about a pregnancy? The clone troopers didn’t have a mother. Jango Fett was used to provide the DNA, the rest was done in a tube.

Didn’t you notice that Jango and Boba had a lot in common?
Have you spotted the difference between Luke and Rey?
I’m not too serious about Luke’s pregnancy, but at least there would be an excuse for a change in the DNA.

Warning Warning Will Robinson, here is an article about the screenplay script referred to above.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens leaked screenplay clarifies the ending and a lot more
‘Luke “doesn’t need to ask her who Rey is, or what she is doing [t]here.’
Christopher Hooton @christophhooton
While screenplays might be no more than a blueprint for a film, they do often include some important detail that is eventually left unsaid in the movie.
This is certainly true for The Force Awakens’, a copy of which fell into the hands of Slashfilm via the Writers Guild of America this week.
BIG SPOILERS AHEAD
Here are the main things we can glean from it:
The ending
When Rey tracks down Luke, he looks at her with a “kindness in his eyes, but there’s something tortured, too.”

More interestingly, he “doesn’t need to ask her who she is, or what she is doing here.” This could just mean he has sensed her presence before using the Force, or it could add weight to the theory that she is a former pupil or even the daughter of Luke.
As for Rey’s outstretched lightsaber, this is apparently “an offer. A plea. The galaxy’s only hope.”
The script ends: “HOLD ON LUKE SKYWALKER’S INCREDIBLE FACE, amazed and conflicted at what he sees, as our MUSIC BUILDS, the promise of an adventure, just beginning…”
It’s interesting how heavily this conflicted nature is stressed. I also enjoy the idea of Luke having an INCREDIBLE FACE.
Who Rey was left with on Jakku
“A little girl. Rey as a child. She is sobbing, hysterical. Unkar Plutt’s meaty hand holds her thin arm. She is on Jakku, watching a starship fly into the sky, abandoning her.” Rey yells, “No, come back!” and Unkar Plutt responds, “Quiet, girl!” as the “ship flies towards the desert sun, which is strangely eclipsed, as if being eaten by darkness.”
This is hugely elucidating, revealing that Rey was left with none other than the grotesque alien she was seen bartering with for rations. He was played by Simon Pegg, and could potentially be back in Star Wars 8 or 9.
Rey’s visions
The screenplay confirms that the first image Rey sees when she picks up Luke’s lightsaber takes place in “a hallway from deep inside Cloud City”. There is a “mechanical breathing sound” and “disembodied voices fill the air.”
In the rainy scene, Kylo Ren is surrounded by, as expected, the six Knights of Ren. It is confirmed that the shot of Luke and R2-D2 is from Ren’s attack on the Jedi school, as apparently a “burning temple at night” is visible in the background.
Luke’s planet at the end
It is named "AHCH-TO” in the script, a name we’ve not heard in the Star Wars saga before. The planet is described as having a “pristine and mighty OCEAN” with “endless BLUE, dotted with random, beautiful, mountainous BLACK ROCK ISLANDS, dotted with countless GREEN TREES.”
Slashfilm speculated that given “Ahch” means ‘brother’ in Hebrew, it could be a reference to some sort of sibling relationship between the pair, or simply a placeholder name given that it sounds a lot like “Act Two”.
Call me cynical, but I wonder if this was thrown in as a red herring given the likelihood of the script leaking.
Ren’s realisation
After killing his father, “Kylo Ren is somehow WEAKENED by this wicked act,” and it is noted that he is “horrified” and his “SHOCK is broken only when” Chewie howls.
Rey feels the lure of the Dark SideWhen she finally has the better of Ren in the lightsaber duel, the screenplay describes her thoughts thus: “And she could kill him — right now, with ONE VICIOUS STRIKE! But she stops. Realizing she stands on a greater edge than even the cliff — the edge of the dark side. The earth SHAKES. The earth splits. A gully forms.”

I guess splicing DNA isn’t a thing in the Star Wars universe…
Anyway…it was just a theory online.
I loved it…
The best cinematic experience I’ve had since Jurassic park in 1993…why??
Even the opening scene on jakku is incredible and the movie never really stops being great…it reminded me of some eighties John carpenter stylee action scene, very dark, but after the scrolling intros you immediately knew this was going to be very good and that this is indeed star wars …
Seen it four times now…the sort of film you just want to experience on multiple viewings…
I actually believe this is Oscar worthy…
In terms of the sabre scene with Rey and Kylo …remembering it’s just a film based on fantasy and the unbelievable, like most films are…
I think…
Hence no issues with any supposed plot holes, I don’t even think they are notable problems…
This is something that sad Star Wars nerds do, pick everything to pieces, forgetting to actually just sit back and enjoy the ride and the unbelievable that is film making…
It is not a documentary or real life, mmmkay, cool…
I just find it sad the amount of guys who try to over intellectualise star wars, you ar not clever and you are no fun!!
Also, there are so many great lines in this film, even IMDb doesn’t have them all. On second viewing you realise how many there are, I hope someone has made a comprehensive list, I’ll have a look…
After a second watch, the Rey V Ren lightsaber dual didn’t seem so unlikely. Apart from the fact that he was injured, and clearly not trying to kill her, she really only held her own at the end. Before that, she was merely deflecting and running.
I have more issue with her being able to use the jedi mind trick on the storm trooper. How did she know that was even a thing?
Still awesome on the second watch Btw.
Hi was not just injured either, Chewie shot him. There were 4 or 5 times in the movie that showed Chewie shooting stormtroopers and then being lifted off their feet. Kylo did well just to survive the hit let alone go off and fight another two lightsaber battles.

She didn’t according to the script
LOW PUSH IN ON REY, shackled, mind still racing over what’s happened between her and Kylo Ren.
She is flooded with emotions, feeling her potential, her strength, that in this moment of being restrained, perhaps anything is possible.

Yeah, it’s still a bit of a stretch, but I’m ok with that.

It was also a decent shot from chewie, considering the distance.

Definitely requires suspension of disbelief. As does every Star Wars movie.
After reading the script, there are a lot of little notes that I didn’t pick up during the movie. For example:
It’s REY who charges now – Kylo Ren immediately on the defensive. They BATTLE POWERFULLY – He is clearly rocked by her raw, innate skill.
I didn’t think that he was “rocked” by her innate skill. More surprise/curiosity/intrigue than anything else.
