This really is the bottom line, isn’t it. More than satisfied with how it panned out.
The unresolved Mencken situation was a minor surprise. There was (I think) one brief reference to “on-going court issues” but that was all. A very small loose end in the bigger picture.
It took me a while to get into the show, nearly gave up on it but @CalDon and @Koala advised me to stick with it and glad I listened to them.
Can’t say where it sits, but I enjoyed it and maybe one day will watch again as am sure I missed some bits as I was trying hard to keep pace with them. Like when you’re so engrossed in watching the footy you miss bits.
However, will say as far as the sometimes-frenetic pace, the shows quality and the acting by all, it was fantastic.
Maybe I can only know in time if I have the desire to watch it all again, like The Wire, Sopranos, and Breaking Bad. It might sit just below them on a Mad Men, Six Feet Under level for me. I’m glad they wrapped it all up in four seasons.
Wire and Breaking Bad are my goats(never watched sopranos properly).
Then a bunch that are hard to order including mad men, dark, leftovers, six feet under, Mr robot etc. For me succession easily joins that second group not entirely sure where though.
Just watched the 1st ep. What a pack of rsoles! We were tossing up whether to keep going. No redeeming qualities in any of them. Marcia about the only one who seems to have any humanity.
