Adrian Wilson would seem to tick a lot of those boxes.
He may have 15 years ago but Anthony Wilson on the other hand could be a good fit!

Potentially. I have Redman as our small/medium defender who’ll provide rebound. But I’d be reluctant to change a young players role if they are settled in the 22, same applies to McGrath.
I haven’t seen enough of Ridley in the midfield yet. I have him as depth for Francis and Gleeson.

We have plenty of players capable of playing the role if needed, McGrath did well against Port playing mostly forward and we might just give Long some time up forward if he stays on the list. Zerrett and Smith can also play as small forwards with thier tackling pressure.
It’s good flexibility to have in the list, but if we put those guys there full time (which would nearly be needed if Tippa or Fanta went down) we’d be robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Have to add 1 or 2 of those types at a minimum to at least start challenging Bags and Long

I need some help. Now that we have the void that is post-trade but pre-draft I have nothing to be hopeful /anxious enough about to constantly check Blitz for updates. Can someone please nominate three players that may be available at each of the 34 and 66 picks so that I can contemplate the benefits of drafting each, and align my emotions to likelihood of being sucessful in doing so. Preferably players that may “slide” as I need a degree of anxiety mixed in with the hope of anticipation. Now that we got Shiel, I find myself in an unsettling state of wellbeing about EFC with a thing called “time”. It’s unfamiliar and I don’t know how to deal with it. Please help.
(In case anyone misses the humour intended above, thanks for being concerned but I’m in an excellent state of health and wellbeing. But also, seriously, someone give me a Blitz debate similar to the Parish vs Francis vs Oliver vs Weideman or the McGrath vs McLuggage draft threads. Please).

Cal is full of nonsense sometimes. His infatuation with Nat is often a distraction which leads to some outrageous draft calls when they’re on air together. Seems to know his stuff generally though.

What do you like about Stack HM? And Ely Smith, who are you comparing him to?
I’d have him top 20 easily based purely on his height and athleticism. But for whatever reason, ruckman seem to be falling lower and lower especially if they don’t have a defined position, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets the 30s.
A defined position is silly, AFL clubs want to see versatility so they will play rucks more forward, Dandenong also had ridiculous amount of good talls that they could move around.
Callum Coleman-Jones went in the 20s in his draft year, Williams has him well covered.

Stack, other than his height, is close to the complete package - good skills, good athleticism, tackles, wins the ball, gets first hands at stoppages and is always on the move - he is a busy player with impressive production to date and could slot in on the HFF with the scope to become a balanced midfielder with added size. Touk Miller would be who I compare him too.
As for Ely, I’ll be honest I was going off what others have said of him as I only really want the first two guys I mentioned. There are about a dozen inside leaning guys that could be there on the night; Bytel, Rowbottom, Smith, Valente, O’Halloran etc

Only Winger worth our first pick would be Butters but i suspect he will be long gone.
Not many good outside types or pure wingman in this draft, a few that look draftable would be.

I like Stack as well. Question if he’s big enough though. We’ve got lots of midgets rolling between half forward and midfield at sub180cm…is he a mid or does he have forward nous? Miller appears to be a great comparison. Is he classy enough by foot? And can he crumb? Does he have overhead ability? Footage looked ok, but I want class and if he’s small he needs to know his way around goals…
One of those mids could be an interesting consideration if they fall. TD1 what’s your view on thise falling kids? Bytel could be the steal for mine or indeed Smith.
The outside mid…the sheepdog, receiver, some would call them a cheat. Needs to have high endurance and speed. Some thoughts above.
