I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
The players who were put through bullshit and suspended for a year during the saga should be playing with absolute ferocity. They should be so ■■■■■■ off missing the year over absolute crap, that it should be the driving force of every chase and tackle they do. And this play should be an example to our young blokes.
We have a really talented list that needs to show some fight instead of looking and playing like they are scared of a bruise or messing up their hair!
Hard work beats talent if talent doesnt work hard!

What some if not most hope for is that a new coach will hopefully xome in and change the whole culture of this club, and start building it from a solid foundation.

Thompson, malthouse and clarkson , as well as some others on that list rebuilt their clubs cultures
They also went deep into finals prior ro their gf wins.
Malthouse had xollingwood in the gf 2-3 after arrival.
Thompson had geelong in4o semi finals.
Clarko snagged one in 08 , but still had them deep inro finals bar only 09 i think.

So they had built that solid foundation of expecting to go deep into finals, and expecting their players to do what was necessary, and if they didnt or xoulsnt , they were moved on , and they identified weaknesses and overcame them.

Thats not what has happened with us. There has been no solid foundation of expecting a high level of output.

Its been like it constantly has been. Ok here the plans on how to build the foundation , heres what you should do , now go do it, under worsfold.
And that approach does not work with this clubs culture of half arsing efforts.

So its not about oh sack a coach win a flag. Its sack a coach and find someone who will go , ok this is what i want done , do it my way or ■■■■ off.

No, some people understand it’s not like this. There are plenty on here, who from the way they talk, seem to think that if you have a talented list but don’t think the coach is up to it all a new coach needs is one year grace period and then into premiership contention you go.

the talent is there. Its their mindset and how they are being coached that is the issue

They showed late last year that talent isn’t the issue

I’d say the players are very talented as a whole, i’d also say we have quite a few dumb players.
