I always thought unanimously rose from “un” and “animosity” — i.e. without rancour.
Found out yesterday it comes from “unus” (one) and “animus” (mind).

Back in London 40 odd years ago we’d all ask for a wine called blue nun. Because we were to illiterate to pronounce any foreign fancy names.
Now I drink pino nwa .

I have added this to a course l wrote for English teachers in China. l don’t know of anyone l would confidently predict who could read this out loud correctly in one attempt, myself included.
