The 2023 Draft Thread

I’m getting confused because the graphics say pick 31 but the bozo on the desk is saying “future second”.

The coverage is saying it was a future second, so maybe not a lot of cost?

Spent a week at Carlton. Get the hose out.

He’s 193cm and Curnow is 194cm, if only he was an extra centimetre taller, what a ■■■■■■■ bust eh?

We gained an extra 2nd basically just through helping out on a pick trade back in trade period

So it’s much of a muchness using one here to get player wanted

Rapt with this. Top end talent so much more important than a pick in the 30s. Remembering it will be more like 35 at best.

Why would dodoro do that?
If Geelong were prepared to do it, they clearly indicated that they weren’t going to pick caddy

That’s what I was wondering too.

Finally some closure for Caddyfest

Edit: I just scrolled and saw 250 references to caddyfest

Yes, game theory suggests Geelong were never actually taking him and it was a wasted pick (unless it was line ball).

But who cares, he is clearly who we wanted and we did what we needed to. If Adelaide hadn’t have jumped us, we wouldn’t have needed to spend the pick.

6’3" in the old money - that used to be ruckman size - Don McKenzie was 188 (6’2"). Plus ça change ?
