Anyone got access to the above article?

What ever happened to our pick 61 that we got from Hawthorn trade with D’Ambrosio?

Note the trade with port referred to pick 73, so no we didn’t trade it there.

Seems like it got lost, as we shouldn’t have had to trade a future 4th to get Archie Roberts at pick 54.

Supposedly Baldwin upgrade.

And we got gifted another pick late in draft as we traded 31, that late pick we didn’t use however as traded back in with a future 4th to get Roberts

Okay thanks…

Although never seen that prior, just seems weird that other clubs get to keep all these other long extended picks. We surely had 5th rounder plus other spots on our list to get taken instead of 61.

If anyone wants to watch the Rookie Draft:

Also Cal looks really tired. lol

Typical Saints bringing in ■■■■ from other clubs

Two delisted players first up.
Bonner gone to the Saints.

Edit…
That was just the pre-season draft.

It appears as though it relates to senior list spots

We only had 3 so only had our first 3 picks accessible, the remainder wiped out as of draft day

And then we traded one so got one given late instead of getting back our 62

Doesn’t make too much sense I agree

I’d have to check the list numbers, but if we went into the draft with three list spots, then we could only have three draft picks, so 61 would have just disappeared.

We have 39 players on our list.

It’s theoretically to stop teams showing up to the draft with 20 ■■■■ picks to match a high bid. So teams just do those trades on draft night anyway because the restriction goes away when the draft starts. Which is profoundly stupid, but also works for the AFL, so it stays.

20 picks isn’t even exaggerating for what GC turned up with.

Complete farce.

Not on our senior list, or we’re in big trouble.

Yep.
Sorry.
I’m still a few days behind.

Cal didn’t mention any Essendon cat b list additions just now.

Tex Wanganeen, Menzie and Hunter are our rookies as far as I’m aware.

Edit…
Just to be clear. 41 on the list. 3 of those are rookies.
