Is Sanchez actually a real guy? or just a Blitz joke?
Is he still there? Yes please!
Short list. Plenty more unlucky than those no doubt
The 3 I would be looking at this arvo in this order are
Dirty Sanchez
Tarkyn O’Leary
J.callinan
I think we should take a rookie pick.
Nice. There are a couple of crafty forwards available.
I assume we take one of them.
I would prefer we don’t select today and invite a few players to train on with us and pick the best one.
What if the ones we want are picked today or they get invited to train with other teams?
I’d be super surprised if we picked today. Reckon we’d prefer the flexibilty.
That’s assuming we even really want a player still left
It seems to be consistent with previous years that we’ll keep a spot open for an SSP listing over preseason.
Its been successful for us so far and it also makes sense from an injury coverage perspective.
The more I think about it, I actually reckon there is close to zero chance we take someone in the rookie draft today.
I think part of the pitch to guys we have signed to the VFL list (Emerson Jeka, Jackson Hately etc) would have been dangling the carrot that we will keep a list spot open for either SSP or more likely MSD.
Sanchez is not really a small forward. Callinan is slow.
If we pick a small forward, it should be a mature ager who has both a pressure and a goal kicking dimension to his game.
Menzie, Gresham, Guelfi, Davey x 2, Tex already there probably means we aren’t going to go a small fwd
If we were to as an aside, do we have small fwds in our NGA academy that could land on our CatB list?
Sorry if this is a repeat question….
How many spots do we have left?
What if the ones other clubs want are picked today or they get invited to train with us?
1 left on the rookie A list.
2 on the rookie B list (Irish or Academy players)
There is talk also about some guy called Odin Jones. I think he is a ruckman. Anyone know much about him?
Thats a short list.
If callinan is there we should take him.
