Rosa is a genius. Next years first round pick from Melbourne looking the goods.

Top 4 pick for mine.

Please, please, please let us keep it!

It would give me a giggle if we traded our F1 to get back into this year, rather than Melbourne’s F1.

Sorry if you answered this, but what is your view on Jasper Alger?

Love your work.

He’s a guy that I like more for his talent/potential than what I see right now. He plays more like an undersized medium forward. Likes to get out on the lead and take marks, like to run and jump at the ball in the air. Not as strong at ground level at this stage as some other small forward options, and when he’s played further up the ground he looks a bit lost. But there have been sequences in games this year when he’s looked electric.

The fact that he hasn’t consistently performed at as high a level as other small forwards makes him more of a risk.

I suppose it also makes him a candidate for the picks we’ll have late in the draft?

Good to see you back mate

There are other small forward prospects that should be available late that I prefer, like the WA boys Cody Angove and Will Hayes. Its a really good year for those types at all tiers and ranges.

B Scott “hes too good for VFL”

I’m hopeful rather than optimistic about Bryan as a player. I have some concerns around his competitiveness.

I’m really hoping if Kako goes later than pick 12 we won’t need to use both 28 and 31 to make up the points. I assume we have to use 28 as a mandatory inclusion to making up points? From there we select what other picks to use to make up the point total? Or do we have to use them in sequence?

A bid at 15 would be roughly equivalent to 28 and 40, which would leave us the 31 pick to use. Is that how it works? Boy someone better not bid top 10, else those later draft picks just get gobbled up quick smart.

I believe you have to use the picks sequentially, but we will get a pick back - so lose picks 28 and 31 and get pick 40 back or something to that effect.

you never get to choose the picks to use, they are always in sequence

cbfd looking at the actual values but if 28 and 31 gave us 1500 points and we needed 1200 to match, they both get eaten and then we would get an additional pick that’s worth 300 points (wherever that is in the draft, probably 50+ or something)

Thanks, so it’s 28, 31 and 40 at risk, but we might get a makeup pick back. That makes sense in the end.

The bid post the top 10 drops off quite a bit, so we should seriously hope he falls in the area around 15.

We may even trade our own future first if we back ourselves in for a big year instead of Melbournes. Actually if we dont trade ours instead it’ll really show how much they rate their own players. A bit of mud in the face really of the playing group.

My own perspective is that we’ll own pick 3 next year and Melbourne even with the turmoil have some serious talent on there list and will be contending for a top 8 spot.
