The hip I had replaced 6 years ago is making some shocking noises and now has to be replaced again. Met with the surgeon and we decided to do it during the winter and give me a chance to lose about 15 kilo. Struggling. Beer tastes too nice.
The 2017 Coopers Vintage Ale is pouring on tap at the Coopers Brewery. Its sensational. Nine years old and incredible.
Delicious
It’s the only one of their beers I find good enough to break my moral boycott of Cooper’s.
And by break, I mean smash in to small pieces for that beer.
Yeah. I know the whole gay marriage thing from like ten years ago. I believe they tried to walk it back. But the fact remains they are still the best major Australian owned brewey in Australia. Its all we have, other than the micro breweries which come and go these days. And their beers are great.
I’m a Coopers fan and will separate the art from the artist.
Sheeit, I still listen to Led Zeppelin and the Stones. Their past behaviour is best left unexplored.
The gay marriage thing I could move past, even though they partnered with Farking Tim Wilson, which was grotesque.
The climate denial I could move past, that’s mostly from the mad brother they keep locked in the basement.
The weird Cooper cousin who rear ended my ex in her AMG and wrote off the ex’s early 2000s Golf, then accused her of reversing at traffic lights and had lawyers harrass her for months… A bit harder to go past.
But it’s the craftwashing. Entering their “craft” beers like Pacific Ale and even the Farking pale in to things like GABS hot 100, using market power and tap deals to lock out genuine craft brewers, spending huge amounts on merch for exclusivity, buying up distribution companies and claiming there’s no capacity to distribute small batches any more…?
They can get ■■■■■■.
They’re the largest privately held brewery in the country, and the shareholdings are limited to a small section of the family. They felt the need to engage in anticompetitive behaviour that contributed to costing a few people I know their business and homes.
They can get faaaaaaaarked.
And if I wasn’t off the grog for the next week I probably would have picked up a six of Vintage when I saw your earlier post ![]()
don’t tell me that . I had one done last August
Pretty sure I was told it was titanium, or where else would I know about titanium hips, but now been told it’s ceramic and probably has a groove etched into it which is making the racket. Bit painful sometimes as well. But all the best for yours.
Currently in Bright, had this at their pub and took some home but all they had at the hotel was these stupid thimbles:
I’m happy now . it’s crazy every now and then I will get pain in there for a day or less but the next day is fine. it’s 1000 % better than what it was before . I have slight arth in the other one but it’s totally fine ,a s I got some tendonopqthy on the non surgery side too leading up to my surgery and post surgery but that is almost gone too . I reckon overall I’m 95% normal . I think pre surgery I was less than 50% compared to now . I’m cycling and golfing again .
I see Stomping Ground are chasing investors, anyone here looked into it?
Looks and sounds lovely
Didn’t go?
Nah. Saving it for non fully ticketed games
