They are probably my favourite range of Europeans (though I don’t like them all). Accessible, drinkable, reliable.
Don’t mind the Trumer Pils either from a bit further south.
The guys and gals out at Devil Bend have done a whole range of Beers for Oktoberfest. This is very easy drinking German Pils called Devil King. At 5.4% (1.6 std drinks) it certainly hits the spot.
I posted a few weeks ago about seeing Fosters in a lot of English pubs and telling them all that it’s tasteless. Gone one worse. Builder left a carton in my son’s ute, son put it in my beer fridge. I tried one. Great Northern. Tap water has more taste.
That stuff is so bad that I opted for a Corona instead.
That is such a good beer.
Farm Dog barrel aged stout at their new bar off Little Malop St, former Bells Brewing. Check it out @Klawdy the beers are pretty good
I’ve been to their place at Wallington. I didn’t realise that they had a place in town now.
This one is a ripper @mrjez
Cheers, I’ll look out for it, we often get Finback over here.
Big Shed Brewing in Adelaide has closed its doors. Or more to the point, had their doors closed on them.
Simply could not recover from Covid, excise deferrals and discretionary spending on this side of town reducing sharply over the past few years.
Add to this the blatant anti-competitive tap hoarding of majors and their grubby ALH conglomerate friends, and it all makes life very tough for the few remaining independent brewers.
Sad days.
FW retired this beer when black IPAs fell out of fashion some years back, but then a one-off revisit did so well they brought it back into rotation again. Awesome stuff.
Got given a Fosters today. Never had one before.
It’s amazing how they’ve nailed the taste of that one beer too many you have on a big night straight out of the can.
Never again.
Boys break up do last weekend. Beers on them. Went to the old Fox Friday in Hobart now taken over by Mountain Culture. Tried their normal beers, nothing special. Finished the night on a few dark/stouts. Knocked me about a bit😀. Still played golf on Sunday though.
Currently at the Coopers Original Ale House in Adelaide.
Dark ale… spectacular.
12 month aged vintaged Extra Stout on hand pump… oh baby. They have a 12 month aged Sparkling Ale on hand pump too. It was glorious.
And what were you drinking?
