The Bombers: Stories of a Great Club

Essendon Football Club, in conjunction with Foxtel and Kayo, will premiere a landmark eight-part documentary series showcasing the extraordinary history of the equal-most successful club in VFA/VFL/AFL as it approaches its historic 150th anniversary season.

The Bombers: Stories Of A Great Club will be available to watch on Fox Footy and Kayo.

  • Episodes 1 & 2 – Oct 19, 7:30pm and 8pm AEST
  • Episodes 3 & 4 – Oct 26, 7:30pm and 8pm AEST
  • Episodes 5 & 6 – Nov 2, 7:30pm and 8pm AEST
  • Episodes 7 & 8 – Nov 9, 7:30pm and 8pm AEDT

Half hour episodes seems pretty weak considering the 150 years of history.

Why not release as one movie?

Four hours is a lot of time. I assume they will cover a lot. Will be something to look forward to in October and November.

They made the Jordan one 8 hours and it really only covered 3 years.

Jordan doc had stuff all through his life and career

LOL

It’s 7 x 30 mins i.e. 3 and a half hours + a 1 hour finale. 4.5 hours is a lot of content.

I cannot wait

I remember Scott Lucas was on the lunchtime catch up earlier in the year, and he said that the club had been trying to get In touch with Mark Mercuri…. As they wanted to interview him for this doco.
Either he didn’t want to do it, or they couldn’t find him.

Apparently he doesn’t want to do any media at all.

I’d prefer 22 x 20 min episodes so I don’t get distracted

I would prefer the episode where we win the flag in 2022

Lacking suitable footage for that episode at this point in time

…wiki describes him as short but large.
Pretty sure he’d have been my favourite player.

I could write a great script though

What is his name; cannot read the name in the photo.

Big(?) Tommy Jenkins.

Only on Murdoch TV. Rack off.

Was going to cancel Kayo next week and then this ………

You get it free with an Essendon membership though so Uncle Rupe doesn’t get a cent.

So good!
